IU and Byeon Wooseok Star in New K-Drama “Perfect Crown,” Premiering April 10 on Disney+

IU and Byeon Wooseok star in the upcoming Korean romantic comedy Perfect Crown, arriving April 10 on Disney+. Here’s what to expect from the royal love story and star-studded cast.

K-drama fans have a delightful new series to anticipate this spring. IU and Byeon Wooseok, two of South Korea’s most popular stars, are set to appear together for the first time in the romantic comedy Perfect Crown, premiering April 10 exclusively on Disney+.

Blending lighthearted romance with palace intrigue, the upcoming series follows an unlikely partnership that begins as a strategic decision—but soon becomes far more complicated.

A Strategic Marriage with Unexpected Consequences

Perfect Crown centers on Grand Prince I-AN, the nation’s most beloved royal figure. Despite his popularity, the prince becomes entangled in a growing power struggle within the royal family. With expectations mounting for him to marry, he forms an unusual agreement.

To ease political pressure, I-AN enters a marriage of convenience with Huiju, the intelligent heir to one of Korea’s most powerful conglomerates.

Initially, the arrangement is purely practical. Both parties stand to benefit from the alliance. Yet as they work closely together to navigate public expectations, royal tensions, and personal ambitions, their carefully planned partnership begins to shift. Feelings develop, misunderstandings arise, and the situation proves far more unpredictable than either expected.

Together, the pair promises an engaging on-screen dynamic that blends humor, charm, and emotional depth.

Perfect Crown is directed by Park Joonhwa, the filmmaker behind popular series such as Alchemy of Souls and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. His work is known for combining visually appealing storytelling with memorable character-driven moments.
