An Emmy-winning franchise marks its comeback after more than a decade with the animated holiday special “Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol,” now available on Disney+. The fourth installment is sure to delight fans, old and new, as it follows the exciting holiday adventures—and merry mishaps—of Christmas elves Lanny and Wayne as they prepare homes worldwide for Santa’s arrival. The new special began streaming on Disney+ on Nov. 28. Families can also catch up on all previous specials: “Prep & Landing” (2009), “Prep & Landing: Operation: Secret Santa” (2010) and “Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice” (2011).

For a light-hearted holiday watch that’s close to people’s hearts, there’s the animated family comedy “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw.” The film is an adaptation of the third installment of author Jeff Kinney’s worldwide bestselling book series, wherein Greg continually finds himself at odds with his dad’s outsized expectations. The new story is the fourth animated feature adaptation of the popular book series to debut on Disney+, following “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” (2021), “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” (2022) and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Christmas: Cabin Fever” (2023).  “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw” is now available on Disney+.
