Netflix has announced that the highly anticipated Season 2 of Squid Game will premiere on December 26, 2024, with the final season set to follow in 2025. The announcement was made through a heartfelt letter from Hwang Dong-hyuk, the Executive Producer, Writer, and Director of the series, to fans worldwide.
About Season Two
Three years after winning the Squid Game, Player 456 remains relentless in his quest to find those responsible for the game and put an end to their vicious sport. Using his fortune to fund the search, Gi-hun starts by tracking down the man in a sharp suit playing ddakji in the subway. However, when his efforts finally bear fruit, he discovers that the path to dismantling the organization is deadlier than he imagined: to end the game, he must re-enter it.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who made history at the 74th Primetime Emmys® by becoming the first Asian to win Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, returns to helm the series as director, writer, and producer.
