The show blends beloved songs from the 1971 film such as “Pure Imagination,” “The Candy Man,” and “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” with fresh original numbers by Grammy and Tony Award winners Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, the creative duo behind Hairspray and Mary Poppins Returns. The result is a production that feels both nostalgic and thrillingly new.

A Global Hit Now Heading Our Way

After a sold-out run at Shanghai Culture Square in November 2025 and raves from audiences across Asia, the Broadway Musical is now making its Manila debut as part of a massive international tour. This global journey will travel through major cities including Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan, Taipei, and Seoul, with Manila proudly on the list.

Illusions, Inventions, and Stage Wizardry

A major highlight of the show is its theatrical magic, led by celebrated Las Vegas illusion designer Tim Clothier. Known for creating jaw-dropping stage effects, Clothier brings fresh ideas to Willy Wonka’s world. His passion for theatrical invention shines through in his words.
“Willy Wonka is the king of imagination, and being able to design new stage wizardry for that character is a dream come true.”
