Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa: Five-Star Fun in Station 2

Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa

Station 2’s heartbeat pulses loudest at Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa, the crown jewel of the Mandarin Premier crew. This flagship stunner welcomed us for a three-night family escape, and it was love at first check-in.

Opting for this dynamic locale—renowned for its bustling energy, particularly after sunset—offered a refreshing departure from our customary beachfront preferences.

From the moment we stepped into Mandarin Bay, the group’s flagship luxury retreat, we were greeted with warmth and impeccable service, instantly creating a sense of belonging. The staff’s attentiveness turned every interaction into a delight, setting the tone for a memorable stay. With 365 rooms, the resort caters to a variety of preferences. Most accommodations are designed for two guests, with an additional fee for a third occupant, which includes a delightful breakfast at La Fiesta Restaurant and full access to amenities such as the impressive pool and well-appointed gym.

Our stay in the Premier Deluxe Room (32 sqm)—a beautifully crafted space with modern Filipino accents, plush bedding, and a luxurious bathtub that felt like a treat after a day exploring the island. The spacious balcony provided a view of the glistening pool and overlooked the vibrant scene of La Fiesta Restaurant, the Pool Bar, and Mamma Mia Ristorante Italiano, seamlessly blending the resort’s lively ambiance with our private retreat.

A guided tour of additional accommodations showcased the resort’s breadth of luxury. The Premier Room (32 sqm), with its street-facing vista and two double beds, proved ideal for families or small groups, though it lacks a bathtub.

The One Bedroom Suite (63 sqm) offered enhanced space and comfort, while the Signature Suite (65 sqm) impressed with its private jacuzzi—a touch of indulgence.

The pinnacle, however, was the Grand Majestic Suite (188 sqm), a masterful embodiment of opulence with its expansive layout and premium amenities, perfectly suited for those seeking an extraordinary escape.

We were also privileged to preview the forthcoming convention center, slated for completion later this year. Poised to be Boracay’s largest, it will accommodate up to 600 guests in a theater arrangement, 500 for a cocktail event, or 400 in a conference setup—ideal for occasions ranging from matrimonial celebrations to professional gatherings. Mandarin Bay Resort & Spa transforms Station 2’s spirited atmosphere into a sanctuary of five-star elegance, ensuring our family retreat was nothing short of unforgettable.

Mandarin Nest Boracay: A Stylish Sanctuary for the Young at Heart in Station 2

Mandarin Nest Boracay

Our exploration of the Mandarin Premier portfolio led us to Mandarin Nest Boracay, where the experience commenced with a refined flourish—a spirited song and dance performance by the courteous staff upon the staircase leading to the property.

These stairs, we discovered, serve a dual purpose as inventive lounge areas, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing beverage while admiring the beachfront panorama—a seamless blend of functionality and relaxed island allure. Situated in the vibrant core of Station 2, mere steps from D’Mall, this four-star retreat won us with its warm, celebratory welcome.

Featuring 77 rooms, Mandarin Nest caters to discerning travelers seeking a boutique-inspired escape. Most accommodations are designed for two guests, with an additional charge for a third occupant (typically one more), which includes breakfast and access to the hotel’s amenities. While we did not spend the night or observe rooms with balconies or tranquil beach views during our tour, the spaces we inspected radiated a contemporary charm infused with natural elements—ideal for a comfortable yet elegant stay.

The standout feature, however, was the pool deck, widely regarded as exceptional, presenting a stunning beachfront outlook that invited lingering appreciation.

The staff affirmed our impression: this property is thoughtfully crafted for a youthful clientele, its lively ambiance perfectly attuned to Station 2’s dynamic spirit. For those desiring a fashionable retreat near the heart of the action, Mandarin Nest Boracay offers an inviting haven.

Mandarin White Sand: Refined Comfort and Cozy Beachfront Bliss on Station 3

Mandarin White Sand

Our journey with the Mandarin Premier Hotels and Resorts Group guided us to the tranquil shores of Station 3, where Mandarin White Sand welcomed us with a gentle sea breeze and an atmosphere that immediately evoked a sense of home. This four-star beachfront retreat, featuring 34 meticulously designed rooms, masterfully combines contemporary comforts with Boracay’s relaxed elegance. Our tour of the property proved captivating, revealing three exceptional offerings: the Premier Family Room, the Deluxe Room, and the SEA Suite, each exemplifying the hotel’s knack for cozy luxury.

The Premier Family Room was a standout—spacious enough to accommodate up to five adults, it stands as a rare gem for larger parties or families like ours seeking a beachfront haven. The Deluxe Room, tailored for two adults, exuded understated sophistication with its clean lines and considerate details. Yet it was the SEA Suite that truly captured our admiration—one of four distinctively named suites (alongside SKY, SAND, and SUN), it presented an airy elegance and a breathtaking beachfront vista that unfolded before us. These suites elevate the stay, and the SEA Suite’s privileged perspective underscored the property’s unique allure.

On the lower level, Eight by the Beach, the hotel’s restaurant, adds to the laid-back allure, offering the opportunity to savor refreshments beside the pool—an area we found particularly enchanting. Positioned mere steps from White Beach Station 3, the pool basked in sunlight that seemed perfectly attuned to the property, casting a warm, radiant glow that amplified its inviting ambiance. There is an almost ethereal quality to how natural light envelops Mandarin White Sand, enriching its cozy appeal.

What impressed us most? The unparalleled beachfront views—particularly from the suites—and the property’s seamless blend of intimacy and accessibility.

The rooms are exquisitely appointed, the staff’s gracious hospitality shines through, and the outdoor spaces beckon one to linger, whether enjoying a beverage by the pool or stepping onto the sands. Mandarin White Sand epitomizes refined barefoot luxury, offering a serene retreat that transforms Station 3 into a personal paradise.

Island Inn Boracay: A Budget-Friendly Haven in the Heart of D’Mall

Island Inn Boracay

Tucked within the bustling D’Mall area of Station 2, Island Inn Boracay welcomed us as the Mandarin Premier Hotels and Resorts Group’s charming, no-frills retreat. This three-star property is a standout for budget-conscious travelers, offering a safe and secure base that’s all about location, comfort, and value. During our tour, we got a firsthand look at two of its 26 well-maintained accommodations: the Deluxe Room, designed for a maximum of three adults, and the Family Room, capable of housing up to four adults.

Both options presented essential comforts—clean, functional, and cozy—perfectly suited for island visitors who favor exploration over lavish indulgences.

The defining attribute of Island Inn is its enviable position at the core of D’Mall, enveloped by an array of shops, dining establishments, and the lively rhythm of Station 2. t’s no wonder this property has become a popular choice among vacationers who want convenience without the hefty price tag. The rooms we toured had everything you’d need for a fuss-free stay, and the upkeep was impressive—proof that “budget-friendly” doesn’t mean compromising on quality. In keeping with the Mandarin Premier tradition, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and an eagerness to assist, infusing every interaction with a sense of hospitality and care.

An unexpected highlight was the newly introduced wing, which opens to a generous rear space—a discreet treasure for guests. This area provides an excellent setting for capturing vacation photographs, offering a welcome respite from the energetic hum of D’Mall. Island Inn Boracay doesn’t try to be flashy—it’s a practical, reliable home base for those who’d rather spend their days soaking up Boracay’s sights than lingering in their room. For travelers seeking affordability and a prime location, this property delivers exactly what’s promised: a cozy, secure stay with the island’s action right at your doorstep.
