‘Stranger Things 4’ Writers Reveal Some Unscripted Moments from the Season

Have you already watched the finale of season 4?

After releasing the explosive and emotional last two episodes of Stranger Things 4 last Friday, the writers of the hit Netflix series have revealed to fans some of the unscripted moments from this season.

Through their Twitter account, the writers shared three scenes where the cast members improvised. Check them out below (Spoilers Alert!):

Viewers were quick to get attached to the new character, Eddie Munson, the misunderstood leader of the Hellfire Club. This made his demise even more painful to watch, with Dustin listening to his last words about finally getting that diploma. According to the Stranger Things writers, that last phrase “I love you, man” was actually improvised by actor Joseph Quinn.

Another emotional scene from the finale was Lucas holding Max’s dying body after suffering from Vecna’s curse. The writers revealed that the elder Sinclair’s desperate plea “Erica, help” was actually improvised by actor Caleb McLaughlin.

Finally, the writers also shared that the kiss between Joyce and Hopper was not part of the script, and was only added in by stars David Harbour and Winona Ryder during filming.

Created by the Duffer Brothers, Stranger Things 4 follows Eleven and the gang as they battle another threat from the Upside Down– Vecna. This monster uses its victims’ dark past to kill them for a sinister purpose that could endanger everyone in Hawkins.

Stream Stranger Things exclusively on Netflix.
