A whole new round is coming!
Netflix has teased the second season of their hit Korean survival series Squid Game. Through a short teaser and a brief letter from director Hwang Dong-hyuk, it was confirmed that the characters of Gi-hun and the Front Man will be returning next season. Moreover, the director also teased the arrival of Cheol-su, the boyfriend of the show’s iconic doll Young-hee.
Squid Game is a 9-episode series starring Lee Jung-Jae (New World, Assassination) and Park Hae-Soo (Time to Hunt, Prison Playbook).
A mysterious invitation to join the game is sent to people at risk who are in dire need of money. 456 participants from all walks of life are locked into a secret location where they play games in order to win 45.6 billion won. Every game is a Korean traditional children’s game such as Red Light, Green Light, but the consequence of losing is death.
