And Yes—the Trailer is Finally Here. Spoiler Alert: It’s Pure Carnage

Blood, Blades, and Heartbreak: What To Expect from Reze Arc

Adapted from the “Bomb Girl Arc” in Tatsuki Fujimoto’s beloved manga, Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc marks the series’ highly anticipated jump to the big screen. And with animation studio MAPPA at the helm, fans can expect jaw-dropping fight sequences, gorgeous visuals, and gut-punching emotional beats.

Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover, Jujutsu Kaisen), with a screenplay by Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: Final Season, Vinland Saga), this film isn’t just another anime adaptation. It’s a cinematic gut-punch designed to leave a scar.

From Devil Hunter to Cinematic Legend

Zoë Kravitz Shines with Austin Butler in Electrifying Crime Thriller “Caught Stealing” — Now Showing in Cinemas

Love, Crime, and One Seriously Unlucky Cat

Step aside, ordinary thrillers — Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing is rewriting the rules with a wild blend of gritty suspense and irresistible romance. And at the heart of it all? Zoë Kravitz, turning up the heat as Yvonne, a tough-yet-tender EMT caught in a maelstrom of violence, love, and mystery.

    Kravitz

Now showing in Philippine cinemas, this crime drama is anything but predictable.

    Kravitz & Butler = Instant On-Screen Spark

According to director Darren Aronofsky, the real engine behind Caught Stealing is the blazing chemistry between Zoë Kravitz and Austin Butler, who plays Hank Thompson, a down-on-his-luck ex-baseball player pulled into a criminal nightmare.

“They have a very exciting passionate love affair that feels like it’s about to get to a more serious place.”

Indeed, there’s an undeniable magnetism between Kravitz and Butler — their on-screen connection pulses with heat and authenticity, grounding the high-stakes action with emotional grit.

Meet Yvonne: EMT by Day, Hank’s Lifeline by Night

Kravitz’s Yvonne isn’t just a love interest — she’s the emotional anchor in a story that could’ve easily spiraled into pure chaos. Grounded yet complex, Yvonne is someone who deeply cares, even when the world around her starts to burn.

“Yvonne’s an empathetic person,” Kravitz says. “I think she likes to take care of people, including Hank. She doesn’t do the best job, but she tries.”

That humanity is what elevates Yvonne from being just a sidekick. She’s a flawed, fascinating, and fiercely loyal survivor — and Kravitz plays her with nuance and fire.

    Watch the Trailer Here:

    From Cat-Sitting to Complete Mayhem

So how does a romance between a former ballplayer and an EMT morph into a full-blown cat-and-mouse chase with gangsters? It all begins when Hank’s shady neighbor Russ (played with eerie charm by Matt Smith) asks him to watch his cat. A simple favor — until everything unravels.

Before long, Hank and Yvonne are neck-deep in NYC’s criminal underworld, running for their lives and trying to figure out why dangerous people want Hank dead.

A Cast That Packs a Punch

Besides the dynamic duo of Kravitz and Butler, Caught Stealing boasts a powerhouse cast including Matt Smith and the ever-commanding Regina King. And the brains behind the screenplay? None other than Charlie Huston, adapting his own cult-favorite novel.

“I wrote this book decades ago, and now I’m making a movie with Darren Aronofsky and Austin Butler and Matt Smith and Regina King and Zoë Kravitz,” they say. “It’s so amazing. Darren and I were both living in the East Village in the 90s, and our paths must have crossed at some point. When I first moved to New York, I was couch-surfing and living next door to where he was living at the time, so part of the joy of this project is just the shared lived experience and authenticity of that. To be able to look back and revisit that period of our lives is just fun.”

The film’s gritty tone is steeped in personal nostalgia. Both Huston and Aronofsky once lived in New York’s East Village during the ’90s, and that raw, lived-in energy pulses through every frame of the film.

    Kravitz Butler

Now Showing: A Must-See Ride of Love and Survival

With its genre-bending thrills, simmering romance, and unforgettable performances, Caught Stealing is a cinematic adrenaline shot — and Zoë Kravitz is its beating heart.

Two Icons Collab: Utada Hikaru Joins Kenshi Yonezu for “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” Soundtrack

The Ultimate Music-Cinema Fusion Is Here

Brace yourselves, Chainsaw Man fans—this one’s massive.

The highly anticipated Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is coming to the big screen with more than just blood, devils, and battles. It’s also bringing with it a rare, high-voltage musical collaboration between two of Japan’s most revered artists: Kenshi Yonezu and Utada Hikaru.

Yes, you read that right. Utada Hikaru—voice behind “First Love,” “Automatic,” and the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack—will lend their iconic vocals to the film’s hauntingly emotional ending theme, “Jane Doe.” And the song’s composer and producer? None other than Kenshi Yonezu, the creative genius behind Chainsaw Man’s first anime opening theme, the explosive “Kick Back.”

But that’s not all. Yonezu is also delivering the movie’s opening theme, “Iris Out”, a high-energy track that sets the stage for the intense drama to follow.

Watch the Teaser for “Jane Doe”

From Anime to Big Screen: Chainsaw Man Evolves

This isn’t just a musical event—it’s a cinematic one. For the first time ever, Chainsaw Man charges into cinemas in a feature-length film format with Reze Arc. It promises to be a visually arresting and emotionally charged continuation of the hit anime series.

Opening in Philippine cinemas on September 24, the film is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and produced by animation powerhouse MAPPA. It adapts the next major story arc from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s critically acclaimed manga series.

The Story So Far: Who’s Reze? Why Does She Matter?

In case you need a refresher—Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a down-and-out devil hunter who, after a brutal betrayal, fuses with his devil-dog Pochita to become the titular Chainsaw Man.

In Reze Arc, Denji’s violent world is shaken once again by the appearance of a mysterious girl named Reze. Sweet, intriguing, and not what she seems, Reze draws Denji into his most complicated—and emotional—battle yet. And yes, it’s personal.

This time, it’s not just about surviving devils. It’s about heartbreak, betrayal, and the quiet moments between the chaos.

“Jane Doe”: A Song for the Soul

Released alongside the film on September 24, the song “Jane Doe” is poised to become an anthem for Chainsaw Manfans. With lyrics written and produced by Kenshi Yonezu, and vocals delivered by Utada Hikaru, it’s an emotionally layered ballad that mirrors Reze’s tragic story arc.

Even the teaser clip—just a few seconds long—has left fans breathless. With Utada’s signature ethereal voice floating over Yonezu’s cinematic production, “Jane Doe” promises to be as unforgettable as the film itself.

    “Iris Out”: Opening with Impact

On the flip side, Yonezu’s “Iris Out” delivers the gut-punch energy fans expect from a Chainsaw Man opening theme. Fierce, emotionally raw, and sonically bold, the track will set the tone right from the opening frame.

Together, “Iris Out” and “Jane Doe” will be released as a double A-side single on September 24, available in multiple editions. Collectors can look forward to exclusive DVD content, acrylic stands, and even lottery entry tickets for Yonezu’s upcoming Ghost Tour 2026.

    Why This Collaboration Matters

This is more than just a musical crossover. It’s the meeting of two creative forces who’ve each shaped Japanese music in their own era.

Utada Hikaru broke ground in the late ’90s and early 2000s, merging J-pop with Western R&B and emotional songwriting that influenced an entire generation. Kenshi Yonezu, meanwhile, revolutionized modern Japanese pop with his experimental sounds, poetic lyrics, and striking visual storytelling.

Together, they’re not just making music—they’re making history.

    DATGF races

Beginning September 12, audiences can step back into the world of aristocracy, service, and change—this time with even higher stakes and deeper emotions as the beloved series closes its final chapter.

A Family, A Staff, A World on the Brink of Change

Set in the early 1930s, The Grand Finale catches up with the Crawley family and their loyal staff as they navigate a society shifting away from tradition. With public scandal looming and personal relationships tested, Lady Mary finds herself confronting the possibility—and consequences—of divorce, a taboo issue during the era.

Series creator Julian Fellowes returns to pen the script, once again weaving nuance, wit, and emotional complexity into every line.

“The Crawleys are doing pretty well. Despite the changing times, they are still a great family living in a great house. There is an air of change in their relationships with their servants and with ordinary people living in the village. The two world wars brought about a narrowing of the gap in the human experience and the aristocratic families were facing the wrong way in history after both wars. The film touches upon these changing times. One of the storylines in the film is Mary getting a divorce, and what I hope will surprise audiences is the extent to which divorce was not accepted until much later.”

Indeed, The Grand Finale dives into how shifting class dynamics and modern ideals affect every level of life at Downton.

    Powerful Emotions, Poignant Endings

Director Simon Curtis, who previously helmed Downton Abbey: A New Era, promises a farewell that’s “a loving portrait” of the characters audiences have adored for over a decade. He praises Fellowes’ signature balance of humanity and humor, saying:

“Julian has such great humanity, and he gives every character, no matter what their class or their sex or their age, dignity, wit and warmth. I love those little moments of humanity between the different characters, with the added poignancy that, very often, these moments are their final moments together.”

This final film leans into those small but meaningful moments: stolen glances, unspoken feelings, and last goodbyes. And while many characters get their spotlight, Lady Mary’s journey—both personal and symbolic—takes center stage.

The Final Case: Ed and Lorraine’s Swan Song

The Conjuring: Last Rites marks the ninth — and final — installment in the $2 billion global horror juggernaut known as the Conjuring Universe. Once again directed by Michael Chaves, with horror masters James Wan and Peter Safranproducing, the film brings real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren back to the screen one last time — portrayed by fan-favorite duo Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

Brimming with chilling set pieces, emotional callbacks, and edge-of-your-seat suspense, this cinematic finale is everything fans hoped it would be… and then some.

    Watch the Trailer Here:

    What the Creators Are Saying

James Wan, who helped launch the franchise with the original The Conjuring films, credits the series’ success to the magic between Wilson and Farmiga. “Vera and Patrick have always been the center of these movies,” says Wan, who directed “The Conjuring” 1 and 2, and has been a producer since the second film in the universe. “They have such a great relationship, onscreen and off – they’re such good friends. I think that really comes across and the audience sees how authentic it is… I have always said, ‘They come for the fright and the scares, but they really stick around for Vera and Patrick.’”

Producer Peter Safran echoes the sentiment. “I think the success of the universe has really hinged on the Warrens as a family. That’s why people keep coming back to see the next adventure, the next investigation, the next stage in their lives – it’s because they’ve fallen in love with Ed and Lorraine as portrayed by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.”

Director Michael Chaves adds, “Vera and Patrick have always been our secret weapon. They’re the heart and soul of these films, and it’s their talent and who they are as people that have shaped these movies from the start.”

Nostalgia, Terror, and One Last Scare

For the stars themselves, saying goodbye wasn’t easy.

Patrick Wilson, who’s donned Ed Warren’s suit and cross for over a decade, shared his gratitude: “Going back to the first film, I remember thinking, ‘What a gift to be able to do this.’”

Meanwhile, Vera Farmiga reflected on the legacy: “It’s been really fun to grow up through the decades and explore all these sensational cases,” she shares, but adds: “This story is the last act for these two.”

“28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” Trailer Unleashes a Ruthless New Chapter – In PH Cinemas January 2026

28 Years Later, the World Still Isn’t Safe

Just when you thought the terror had ended, it mutates.

    4 1

The post-apocalyptic universe first unleashed by Danny Boyle and Alex Garland returns with a chilling new chapter—28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Directed by the visionary Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels), this psychological horror-thriller revisits a devastated world where survival comes at the cost of your soul.

The Official Trailer is Finally here. Watch it now:

Set for release in Philippine cinemas this January 2026, the film is distributed locally by Columbia Pictures, the Philippine branch of Sony Pictures Releasing International.

Rage Lives On – But So Does Something Far Worse

Gone are the days when the infected were the only monsters.

In The Bone Temple, the story picks up nearly three decades after the outbreak that decimated society. Ralph Fiennes reprises his role as the enigmatic Dr. Kelson, now entangled in a mysterious and dangerous relationship that could alter humanity’s future. Meanwhile, Alfie Williams returns as Spike, a hardened survivor whose path collides with a new antagonist—Jimmy Crystal, portrayed by Jack O’Connell (Unbroken, Skins).

And here’s the twist: the infected? They’re no longer the biggest threat.

    1 1

A Darker, Deeper Descent into Horror

Forget what you think you know about zombie films. 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple flips the narrative, plunging audiences into a terrifying exploration of human cruelty in a world stripped of morality.

As survivors form factions, alliances grow toxic, and trust becomes more lethal than the virus itself. Newcomers Erin Kellyman (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Chi Lewis-Parry add fresh blood to a franchise already brimming with complex characters and emotional tension.

Directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Alex Garland, the film promises to push boundaries and unsettle audiences like never before.

Meet the Creative Powerhouse Behind the Film

This isn’t just another sequel—it’s an evolution.

Produced by a powerhouse team that includes Andrew Macdonald, Peter Rice, Bernard Bellew, Danny Boyle, and Alex Garland, The Bone Temple builds on the foundation laid by 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. The film also boasts Cillian Murphy as executive producer, adding depth and prestige to the production.

  • Austin Butler Lives Out His Dream in Darren Aronofsky’s “Caught Stealing” – In Cinemas September 10

Austin Butler Lives Out His Dream in Darren Aronofsky’s “Caught Stealing” – In Cinemas September 10

From Dream to Reality: Austin Butler Lands His Bucket List Role

For Austin Butler, working with director Darren Aronofsky has always been more than a career milestone—it was a childhood dream finally realized.

    Aronofsky Butler

“The first thing I was ever cast in was a student film,” Butler says. “I asked the director of that movie who his favorite director was, and he said Darren Aronofsky. Since I was a child, I had this thing in my head where I wanted to work with Darren.”

That wish comes true in Caught Stealing, a gritty new crime film adapted from Charlie Huston’s novel. Butler steps into the gritty shoes of Hank Thompson, a washed-up baseball player turned bartender who finds himself caught in a deadly gang war after doing what seemed like a harmless favor.

Plot Twist: A Cat-Sitting Favor Gone Wrong

Set in downtown New York City, Caught Stealing begins with a simple request: Hank’s neighbor, Russ (played by Matt Smith), asks him to watch his cat. But things escalate quickly. That one favor launches Hank into a blood-soaked conflict between the city’s most ruthless criminals.

Butler explains, “He’s moved to New York and become a bartender. He’s numbing himself, just drinking and living a bare minimum life,” says Butler. “And then he’s thrown into this wild set of circumstances that create a life-or-death struggle. It’s a defibrillator that shocks him back into life—to take the responsibility to protect the people he cares about and not die himself.”

Aronofsky x Butler: A Dynamic Duo

On set, Butler thrived under Aronofsky’s intense creative direction.

“It’s a pressure cooker, and I enjoyed that,” he says. “He demands a lot of everybody, including himself, but that intensity pulls out the best in every department. It’s a pleasure to work hard when the results justify the work.”

Aronofsky, known for Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream, was equally impressed with Butler. “It’s the first time I’ve seen him show up as Austin,” says Aronofsky. “He often plays these incredible characters that he disappears in and brings them to life. But there’s so much of him in this character.”

    A Character on the Brink

Screenwriter Charlie Huston, who adapted his own novel, reveals the emotional complexity behind Hank Thompson.

“When we meet Hank, he’s at a crossroads in his life,” says Huston. “When he was younger, he thought he was going to be a superstar baseball player. He had the brightest possible future, and through his own carelessness, it went completely awry. Faced with that, he chose to run away rather than confront it and try to grow from it. He’s been running for 12 or 13 years when we meet him.”

    CaughtStealing Butler

    Shocked Back to Life

Caught Stealing isn’t just an action-packed crime saga—it’s a redemption story. It’s about a man waking up from his own apathy.

“He’s moved to New York and become a bartender.
