Ito ang Homecourt Mo! ESPN on Disney+ Brings NBA, UFC and More to Filipino Sports Fans

Filipino sports fans now have another reason to keep Disney+ on the home screen.

ESPN on Disney+ is officially available in the Philippines, bringing a wide range of live sports, replays, studio programs, documentaries, and original content to subscribers through a dedicated ESPN hub inside the new Disney+ app.

The launch also comes with a fitting rallying cry for local fans: Ito ang Homecourt Mo!

It is a campaign built around something Filipinos know well: showing up for the big game, staying glued to every crucial possession, arguing over predictions, and celebrating the moments that become instant conversation starters.

With ESPN now part of the Disney+ experience, those moments have a new home.

A New Home for Live Sports on Disney+

Through the ESPN navigation tab, subscribers can access sports programming led by ESPN’s coverage, commentary, analysis, and studio production.

The line-up stretches across basketball, mixed martial arts, motorsports, college sports, documentaries, and more, while still sitting alongside Disney+‘s entertainment library from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, and other brands.

The Philippines is an incredibly important sports market in Asia Pacific, with a deep-rooted passion for basketball and combat sports and a fan base that brings tremendous energy to the region’s sports culture,” said Kylie Watson-Wheeler, Head of ESPN, Asia Pacific.

As we continue to expand ESPN’s presence across Asia Pacific, the Philippines plays a key role in that growth. Bringing ESPN to Disney+ allows us to build on that passion, connecting Filipino fans with more of the sports, athletes and stories they love, while strengthening ESPN’s position as a leading sports destination across the region.

For local viewers, the appeal is immediate. Basketball remains deeply woven into Filipino culture, while UFC and other combat sports continue to command a loyal following. Putting both under one streaming roof gives fans a more convenient way to follow major events without leaving the Disney+ app.

NBA Games Take Center Court

Naturally, the NBA is one of the biggest draws.

ESPN on Disney+ will feature marquee matchups during NBA Tip-Off Week, beginning on October 22 with the Minnesota Timberwolves taking on the Miami Heat. The Golden State Warriors will then face the Los Angeles Lakers.

The following day, October 23, the Cleveland Cavaliers are scheduled to meet the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Oklahoma City Thunder go up against the Denver Nuggets.

Across the season, subscribers can also follow live games featuring popular teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics.

Christmas Day should be another major date on the calendar, with all Christmas Day games set to be available. The schedule includes the San Antonio Spurs versus the New York Knicks, as well as the Los Angeles Lakers against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The postseason will also be represented, with playoff coverage from the First Round through the Conference Semifinals and Conference Finals. The Western Conference Finals will stream live on Disney+, while the Eastern Conference Finals and NBA Finals will be available on demand.

And for fans who want more than the games themselves, ESPN on Disney+ will also carry NBA studio shows and NBA-produced programming such as NBA Tip-Off, Inside the NBA, NBA Countdown, NBA Today, and NBA Action.

UFC Action Joins the Line-Up

For fight fans, the arrival of UFC programming gives the service an equally compelling second pillar.

ESPN and UFC are bringing live numbered events, UFC Fight Nights, classic bouts, curated fight libraries, and behind-the-scenes programming to subscribers in the Philippines.

The action is scheduled to begin with UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi on October 25, featuring two expected world title bouts.

UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski is set to face undefeated No. 1-ranked contender Movsar Evloev, while UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan is expected to defend his title against former champion and No. 1-ranked contender Merab Dvalishvili.

Beyond the marquee fights, subscribers can watch programs including UFC Countdown, UFC Connected, UFC Main Event, UFC Fight Flashback, UFC Reloaded, and ROAD TO UFC.

The latter is especially relevant to the region, giving top professional MMA prospects from Asia-Pacific a direct pathway toward competing in UFC.

Formula E, March Madness, NBL and More

The sports offering goes well beyond basketball and MMA.

ESPN on Disney+ will also feature the Formula E 2026/27 season, including practice sessions, qualifying, and main races across 21 rounds in 13 host cities.

College sports fans can look forward to NCAA events, including March Madness, while followers of Australia’s National Basketball League will have access to live games across the regular season and championship series.

There is also plenty for viewers who prefer sports storytelling over live competition.

ESPN’s acclaimed 30 for 30 documentaries remain part of the Disney+ line-up, alongside studio shows such as ESPN FCand Pardon the Interruption.

That combination gives the ESPN hub a broader identity. It is not simply a place to watch the final score unfold, but also a destination for analysis, personalities, history, and the stories behind the athletes.

Sports and Entertainment in One App

We’re thrilled ESPN on Disney+ is now streaming for subscribers in the Philippines, bringing live sports, studio shows, documentaries, original programming and more to fans in one dedicated destination,” said Vineet Puri, Vice President and General Manager, Emerging Southeast Asia, The Walt Disney Company.

ESPN on Disney+ gives fans a new home ground for sports entertainment, with adrenaline-pumping action that is the perfect match-up with Disney+ must-stream shows and movies. With our new brand campaign, Ito ang Homecourt Mo!, we are celebrating the passion fans in the Philippines bring to every game, screen and shared conversation — all on one platform together like only Disney+ can do.

That mix is likely to be one of the platform’s biggest selling points.

One night can be reserved for an NBA matchup or UFC card. The next can be spent catching up on a Korean Original, Marvel series, animated favorite, or documentary.

For households with very different viewing habits, that makes Disney+ a more versatile entertainment option.

What’s Next on Disney+

Outside sports, subscribers in the Philippines can also look forward to upcoming Asian original content such as the Korean titles The Remarried Empress and Portraits of Delusion.

Disney+ will continue to offer entertainment from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Hulu, giving viewers a broad mix of sports, movies, series, factual programming, and originals in one place.

Fans can also follow highlights, updates, and key ESPN moments through Disney+ Philippines’ social media channels throughout the season.

For now, though, the message is simple.

Whether you are tracking every NBA possession, counting down to the next UFC card, following a Formula E race weekend, or settling in for March Madness, ESPN on Disney+ wants to be the screen you turn to first.
