The new series continues the story from the “Star Wars: Visions” shorts “The Ninth Jedi” and “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope.” Set shortly after those events, the limited series follows Lah Kara as she continues her Jedi training under Margrave Juro.
Still learning what it means to follow the ways of the Jedi, Kara is drawn into a powerful quest that will test her courage, loyalty, and sense of purpose. Together with Juro’s small fellowship of Jedi-in-training, she sets out to save her father, facing danger and discovery across a galaxy filled with uncertainty.

Trailer and Key Art Revealed at Anime Expo 2026
The trailer and teaser poster were unveiled during a special “Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi” panel at Anime Expo 2026, held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The panel featured supervising director Kenji Kamiyama, director Shunsuke Tada, and producer Hitoshi Ito, who introduced fans to the next evolution of one of the most memorable stories from the “Star Wars: Visions” anthology.

“Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi” also marks part of the all-new “Star Wars: Visions Presents” banner. This new label is designed for longer-form stories set within the imaginative world of “Star Wars: Visions,” giving standout tales more room to grow.

For “The Ninth Jedi,” that means a deeper look at Kara’s path, Juro’s mission, and the future of a new generation of Jedi.
The Creative Team Behind the Series
The limited series is directed by Shunsuke Tada and written by Mitsuyasu Sakai, with Kenji Kamiyama serving as supervising director.

Executive producers include James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Justin Leach, and Mitsuhisa Ishikawa. The producers are Hitoshi Ito and Kanako Shirasaki, while Caroline Keller serves as co-producer.
Voice Cast for the English Dub and Original Language Version
The English dub brings back several familiar voices, including Kimiko Glenn as Lah Kara, Andrew Kishino as Juro, Masi Oka as Ethan, Patrick Seitz as Homen, JP Karliak as Gramps, and Simu Liu as Lah Zhima. Neil Kaplan also returns as The Narrator.
