Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the classic anime series, Yu Yu Hakusho, has unveiled the character posters featuring its four main characters: Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, and Kuwabara.
Based on the manga of the same name from Yoshihiro Togashi, Yu Yu Hakusho is more familiar to Filipinos under its English title Ghost Fighter, with the characters bearing the names Eugene, Dennis, Vincent, and Alfred. The series tells the story of Yusuke, a teenage delinquent who died after trying to save a child’s life. In the afterlife, Yusuke is named a Spirit Detective and must solve cases involving demons and apparitions alongside his newfound allies.

Directed by Sho Tsukikawa with a screenplay from Tatsuro Mishima, Yu Yu Hakusho stars Takumi Kitamura, Jun Shison, Kanata Hongo, and Shuhei Uesugi. The series is set for release on Netflix in December of 2023.
