Directed by visionary filmmaker Gina Prince-Bythewood, known for The Woman King and The Secret Life of Bees, the highly anticipated fantasy adventure is based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling novel of the same name.
The film brings together an extraordinary ensemble led by Thuso Mbedu, Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, and Tosin Cole.
Also joining the cast are Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch, Zackary Momoh, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor, Academy Award winner Regina King, Idris Elba, and Academy Award winner Viola Davis.

Joined by her brother, she forms an unlikely alliance with the daughter and son of the king. Together, they rise against the monarch’s brutal rule and fight for the future of their kingdom.

The film also stars Saniyya Sidney, Diaana Babnicova, Bukky Bakray, Ayra Starr, Shamz Garuba, Kola Bodunde, Pamilerin Afolake Ayodeji, and Tèmítópé Fágbénlé.
