Who is “Madame Web”? The cast talk about the highly anticipated Superheroine

Discover the groundbreaking journey of "Madame Web," Sony's Spider-Man Universe's first female-led superhero movie. Join Dakota Johnson and the cast as they delve into the essence of this dynamic character and her world-changing powers, exclusively in theaters February 14.

Madame Web” is a truly dynamic character,” Dakota Johnson, who plays the titular superheroine in Madame Web, shares in a new featurette. In cinemas February 14, Madame Web is the first superhero movie with a female lead in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.

Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future… and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies… if they can all survive a deadly present.

Because she can see into the future, “Madame Web’s powers are really interesting,” says Celeste O’Connor, who plays Mattie Franklin.

For Isabela Merced, who portrays Anya Corazón, what’s most interesting about the superheroine’s powers is “how it plays on fate and destiny.”

Teases Sydney Sweeney, who plays Julia Cornwall, “In this one moment, Cassie connects three of their lives.”
