Marvel’s next big cinematic events are finally revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022!
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced on the Hall H stage the titles for the next Avengers films: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. These would be the first titles to round up the Avengers after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which saw the deaths of Iron Man and Black Widow, and the retirement of Captain America.
Scheduled for release on May 2, 2025, The Kang Dynasty already suggests in its title that the Avengers would go against the time-traveling villain Kang the Conqueror. The character made his first appearance in the MCU through the Disney+ series, with Jonathan Majors playing the role. He is also set to appear as the villain in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Meanwhile, Secret Wars is a popular crossover event in the comics where the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and more Marvel heroes and villains square off for a chance to be granted their greatest dreams and desires. Avengers: Secret Wars is heading to the big screen on November 7, 2025.
Other Marvel announcements from the SDCC include the new Disney+ shows Echo, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Daredevil: Born Again, and the films Captain America: New World Order and Thunderbolts. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also revealed its first trailer featuring Namor and a mysterious new Black Panther.
