EVERYTHING BEGINS TODAY as BAR BOYS: A NEW MUSICAL, the law school musical that surprised everyone, returns this October 2024.
In response to the clamor of audiences, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative brings back Bar Boys: A New Musical for a very limited FIVE-WEEK RUN.
During the curtain call of Mula sa Buwan earlier, the much awaited rerun of Bar Boys was announced by Benedix Ramos (Erik), Alex Diaz (Chris), Jerom Canlas (Torran), Omar Uddin (Josh), and Sheila Francisco (Justice Hernandez). The five cast members are set to reprise their roles while further casting has yet to be announced.
The musical will run this October 4 to November 3, 2024 at the Power Mac Center Spotlight Blackbox Theater, Circuit Makati.
A musical stage adaptation of the well-loved 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino film by Kip F. Oebanda, Bar Boys: A New Musical follows the life of four friends and their journey to become defenders of justice in the Philippines.
Book and lyrics are by Pat Valera, who will return to direct alongside Mikko Angeles. Myke Salomon, who composed the adaptation’s original songs, also serves as the musical director. Jomelle Era will also return for movement direction.
