Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the launch of the 2025 Fall/Winter issue of LifeWear magazine (Issue 13) on Friday, August 29. LifeWear magazine is a free magazine dedicated to the UNIQLO philosophy of making everyday life better and more comfortable for everyone. The theme of Issue 13 for Fall/Winter is “Revisiting Classic,” honoring traditional designs and the origins of different styles. We’ve made updates to fit and functionality in response to customer opinion. This issue takes a closer look at select items, demonstrating how these clothes embody UNIQLO’s approach to classic style.
Takahiro Kinoshita, Fast Retailing Group Senior Executive Officer and Creative Director, commented:
“While compiling these articles, I was reminded of something the designer Daiki Suzuki told me once. ‘It’s crucial for UNIQLO to position itself as a reliable source for everyday essentials.’ This resonates with ‘Classic doesn’t get old,’ strong words of advice from Lara, a German influencer profiled in these pages. The new issue of LifeWear magazine speaks to something behind both of these ideas—good classic clothes are always in style.“

Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson established JW ANDERSON in 2008. At first an elaborate collection of accessories, it quickly evolved to offer ready-to-wear and attracted attention and enabled the fledgling label to show on-schedule during the 2008 London Fashion Week season. The success of this debut collection earned both critical acclaim and commercial success for Anderson, whose label is now regarded as one of London’s most innovative and forward-thinking brands. UNIQLO sparks the Spring/Summer 2024 season with the launch of its new LifeWear collection. Inspired by the call to “ease into lightness,” the collection circles back to LifeWear’s central ideas of comfort and versatility and updated for the season with new fits featuring a clean and casual style for work and play.
“UNIQLO LifeWear is clothing designed to make everyone’s life better. They are pieces that compliment everyday lifestyles, and with our season theme of Ease Into Lightness, we showcase different key items that are a perfect fit for Filipinos’ different needs, highlighting our products’ quality materials, colors, textures and styles,” says UNIQLO Philippines Chief Operating Officer Geraldine Sia during the UNIQLO 2024 Spring/Summer LifeWear Collection Preview.
UNIQLO’s Spring/Summer 2024 pieces come alive in soft pale tones like ecru and mauve pink. Natural linen and Supima Cotton also feel gentler, as jackets are made more comfortable and T-shirts thinner. All around, it’s a collection that promises lightness in every way, from lifestyle to function to texture.
Starting with lifestyle, the collection serves as the new authentic, where elevated casual meets urban sport casual. Think of sporty items such as Sport Utility Wear and utility pants matched with UNIQLO’s classic casual items such as T-Shirts and Bra Tops for a hybrid yet effortless style.
Next, in terms of function, UNIQLO’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection showcases a clean-work style with functionality, positioned as future traditional. Modern neutral coloring is set to get anyone through anything, even the harshest of seasons, comfortably and in style. This is made possible by the functional materials of Miracle Air, AIRism, UV Protection, DRY-EX, Blocktech – which are waterproof, water repellent, breathable, quick- drying, and more. Go for these popular UNIQLO lines or try the Smart Ankle and other Functional Outerwear with the Super Non-Iron Shirt and Rayon Shirt.
Finally, the collection promises lightness in texture. It’s a vacation-inspired summer casual style using light, high-quality natural materials such as linen and cotton. With pieces like the Pleated Skirt and Sheer Knit (3D Mesh), among others, the collection embodies today’s lightness mindset that allows anyone to travel with ease.
Together with the Spring/Summer 2024 collection, UNIQLO also presents special collaborations for the season. UNIQLO U brings its latest future LifeWear essentials using innovative materials and contemporary silhouettes. Meanwhile, UNIQLO: C delivers sophistication in ease and motion from renowned British designer Clare Waight Keller.
Fans of J.W. Anderson can also look forward to the Northern Irish designer’s newest set of UNIQLO pieces. The latest collection is inspired by fabrics and crafts from the mid-century era for a textured vibe that is clean with a pop of color.
Another favorite UNIQLO collaborator with new pieces is Ines de la Fressange. For the Spring/Summer 2024 season, the French designer’s take on Parisian chic focuses on the stunning southern France landscape, characterized by simplicity and elegance.

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO today announces the latest updates for HEATTECH as it celebrates 20 years of game-changing fashion for the cold season.
Jointly developed by UNIQLO and Toray Industries and launched in 2003, HEATTECH serves as UNIQLO’s thin and warm thermal clothing technology that converts water vapor from the body into heat. The cumulative unit sales of the popular line have reached approximately 1.5 billion items worldwide as of last year. HEATTECH embodies UNIQLO’s LifeWear philosophy of simple, high-quality everyday clothing designed to make everyone’s life better.
This season, the HEATTECH lineup has been updated to further enrich everyday life, featuring newly developed materials for greater comfort and an expanded range of design and color variations. Along with its signature innerwear, UNIQLO also offers a rich lineup of other apparel and goods that incorporate HEATTECH technology. Keeping you warm and comfortable during chilly weather, HEATTECH continues to support fashion designed for cold weather around the globe.
A new material that is thin, light, and warm
New in the WOMENS line is the HEATTECH Ultra Light Turtleneck Top, made with the thinnest HEATTECH material yet. The use of ultra-fine fibers makes this item about 20% lighter than conventional HEATTECH innerwear. Air pockets, created by knitting the thin yarn in a way that adds puffiness, help ensure heat retention. With warmth the same as conventional HEATTECH items, the material offers smooth comfort and just the right amount of sheerness. It comes in a wide range of color variations as well. These new items can be worn both as innerwear and for layering, making them highly versatile for styling during colder seasons.
Product updates
WOMEN – Changes in specifications and knitting method for greater comfort
Standard HEATTECH innerwear now has printed care labels for a smoother feel. This year, the range of skin tone colors has also been expanded for easier use as a base layer. The popular HEATTECH Extra Warm Seamless Ribbed lineup launched last year now has improved knitting specifications that makes it less prone to pilling, while still retaining its fluffy feel. The material used has also been updated with the recycled nylon.
MEN – Updated materials and rich color variations
The material for HEATTECH innerwear has been changed to recycled polyester. Including the HEATTECH Cotton Crew Neck L/S T-shirt (Extra Warm) series, color variations in the lineup have been expanded to broaden the range of styling options. HEATTECH Ultra Warm has been updated to a new material with a special knitting technique that holds more air, making it soft and lightweight while retaining the same warmth level the Ultra Warm line is known for.
■First Holiday Collection from “Princesse tam.tam”
The French-born brand “Princesse tam.tam” joins the HEATTECH lineup as a new holiday collection.
“Princesse tam.tam” specializes in original prints and vibrant colors, and this new lineup features the brand’s signature coloring. The newly added items are Seamless ribbed turtleneck T (PHP 990) and Socks (PHP 290). The new items are scheduled to launch in November.
■ HEATTECH is the choice of fashion professionals
During Paris Fashion Week fall/winter 2023-24, a gathering of fashion industry professionals from around the world, UNIQLO conducted a survey about UNIQLO and HEATTECH products. The results show that the usage rate of HEATTECH increased by 25.5% since the previous survey, indicating a growing market penetration worldwide. When asked what respondents like about HEATTECH, the most common answer was that it is warm without being bulky. Overall, respondents indicated that they wore HEATTECH because they want to stay warm while still enjoying fashion during the cold season.
A boom in the last three years
Of those respondents who said they have worn HEATTECH, 70.6% stated they started wearing it within the last three years. Some respondents cited energy costs, rising prices, and changing temperatures changes as reasons, indicating that HEATTECH buying trends were partly affected by last year’s energy crisis. In addition, when asked how often they wore HEATTECH, about half of respondents said they wore it on a daily basis indicating that, over the past three years, HEATTECH has rapidly become an essential item in people’s wardrobes.
Interview survey on the consumption and purchase of UNIQLO productsSurvey method: Street interviews. Survey respondents: Persons in their teens to 60s, (teens 4.6%, 20s 59.2%, 30s 11.9%, 40s 9.5%, 50s 9.7%, Over 60s 5.1%). Those surveyed were visitors to Paris Fashion Week 2023-24 and fashion industry professionals. Number of survey responses: 409. Survey period: February 27 to March 22, 2023
