Meet the Star: Ranee Campen

Step into the world of Risa, portrayed by the fabulous Ranee Campen. Fans might recognize her from mega-hits like Love Destiny and its cinematic counterpart. Risa’s story? She’s a wedding planner teetering on bankruptcy, grappling with the mother of all challenges: planning an extravagant Indian wedding. And guess what? The groom, Arun (Mahir Pandhi), is her unresolved ex! Oh, and did we mention she’s roped in another ex, Tim (Vachirawit Chivaaree), to help her out? Talk about an ex-travaganza!

The Ensemble

Joining this tumultuous ride are Risa’s pals, Jan and Aoffy, played by the dynamic duo, Passakorn Ponlaboon and Thongchai Thongkuntom. They’re the squad everyone needs when the chips are down. And, to stir the pot a bit more, enter Monika (Anahita Bhooshan), Arun’s bride-to-be. Let the sparks fly!

“We are excited to officially announce that Congrats My Ex!, featuring two of Thailand’s top actors in Bella (Campen) and Bright (Chivaaree), will soon be available on Prime Video to a global audience,” said David Simonsen, director of Prime Video, Southeast Asia. “It has always been our mission to unearth unique local stories that have the potential to span geographies, and with Bella and Bright’s reach across the region, we are confident in delivering a film that will truly resonate with audiences in South East Asia and beyond.”

A Global Fusion

But what makes this movie truly unique? “Congrats My Ex! is a product of a truly international collaboration between the Thai and Indian entertainment industries,” said Kulthep Narula, chief operating officer at Benetone Films. “As the producers of this film, we’re thrilled to bring you a heartwarming and hilarious story that centers around a wedding planner’s unexpected encounters with her two former flames—the groom-to-be, who she can’t forget, and the photographer, who can’t forget her. Our inspiration came from the rich tapestry of Indian culture and the curiosity surrounding the length of Indian weddings. The second inspiration behind this film is the universal experience we all share—having had ex-boyfriends or girlfriends. By weaving this cultural beauty and shared human experiences into a story of love and weddings, Congrats My Ex! is a Thai movie that is uniquely infused with a splash of Bollywood, transcending boundaries and speaking to audiences worldwide. As a Thai company with deep Indian roots, Benetone Films is well positioned to tell this enchanting Thai story with a beautiful Indian backdrop, and we can’t wait for you to join us on this unforgettable cinematic journey.”

Separated by an ocean, their long-running feud hasn’t really been an issue, until a disastrous—and very public—altercation at a royal event becomes tabloid fodder driving a potential wedge in U.S./British relations at the worst possible time. Going into damage control mode, their powerful families and respective handlers force the two rivals into a staged “truce.” But as Alex and Henry’s icy relationship unexpectedly begins to thaw into a tentative friendship, the friction that existed between them sparks something deeper than they ever expected. Based on Casey McQuiston’s critically acclaimed New York Times bestseller, Red, White & Royal Blue marks the feature film writing and directing debut of Tony Award-winning playwright Matthew López (The Inheritance).

Korean Vampire Rom-Com Series “HeartBeat” Coming Exclusively to Prime Video

Prime Video today announced that fantasy rom-com series HeartBeat, producedby Korean broadcaster KBS, will be available on Prime Video in the Philippines and more than 240 countries and territories worldwide starting Monday, June 26. New episodes of the 16-episode series will be available weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Starring multitalented actor and artist Ok Taec-yeon, who previously starred in Let’s Fight Ghost, Vincenzo, and Blind, HeartBeat features a thrilling romance between a vampire who desires to experience heart-throbbing love, and a cold-blooded woman who doesn’t have time for romance.

With an unwavering desire to become human and experience love, Seon U-hyeol sleeps in a coffin for 100 years. That goal was painstakingly cut short by only one day, as he was awakened by Joo In-hae, a cold-blooded-yet-mesmerizing woman, played by Won Ji-an. Having to fend for herself at an early age, she developed defense mechanisms, making her become hard and resilient in the process. Her encounter with the mysterious man asleep in the coffin slowly loosens her inhibitions, and an unexpected relationship between Seon U-hyeol and Joo In-hae ensues. Won Ji-an has starred in Hope or Dope, If You Wish Upon Me, and D.P.

“We’re absolutely delighted to be in partnership with one of Korea’s leading national broadcasters,” said David Simonsen, director of Prime Video, Southeast Asia. “The opportunity to work with creators from KBS marks a significant milestone for us, and we’re excited that a title such as HeartBeat, which spans multiple genres, will satisfy our audiences’ thirst for Korean content of the highest caliber. This announcement truly reaffirms our commitment to expanding our ever-growing slate of premium Korean titles on Prime Video.”

“It is with great pleasure to embark on this relationship with Prime Video, with its presence across the globe,” said Lee Hyun-suk, the director of HeartBeat. “HeartBeat explores vampires who are completely drained by humans. What would the lives of Korean vampires be like in the 21st century? This story, born from such an imagination, is expected to garner amusement, laughter, and touch the audience’s hearts. Stay tuned to see how the love between Seon U-hyeol, a vampire yearning to become human, and Joo In-hae, who is cold-blooded like a vampire, unfolds within unexpected plot twists.”
