Disney+ to Premiere Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Final Show and Docuseries on December 12

The queen of reinvention returns—this time, with the grand finale of a record-breaking tour and a docuseries that gives fans everything they’ve been waiting for.

Get ready to relive the magic. Fresh off the explosive success of her latest album The Life of a Showgirl—which shattered records with over 4 million equivalent album units in the U.S. alone—Taylor Swift is once again redefining what it means to be a global icon.

On December 12, two must-watch events are set to premiere exclusively on Disney+:

Together, they form the streaming event of the year—an emotional, spectacular, and behind-the-scenes look at one of the most iconic tours in music history.

Go Behind the Music in The End of an Era

What does it take to build the most talked-about tour of the decade? The End of an Era gives us answers—and then some.

This six-episode docuseries, directed by Don Argott and co-directed by Sheena M. Joyce, offers fans a rare glimpse into Taylor’s life on and off stage. Expect candid moments, creative processes, and emotional highs (and lows) that shaped the tour.

It also shines a spotlight on the people closest to her:

    • Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter
    • Acclaimed singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams
    • Grammy-winning collaborator Ed Sheeran
    • Indie rock icon Florence Welch

Their stories, reflections, and behind-the-scenes memories provide emotional depth and personal warmth to an already massive spectacle.

New episodes drop every week, two at a time, beginning December 12.

Witness the Final Bow in The Final Show

The Final Show is more than just a concert film—it’s the ultimate celebration of Taylor’s artistic evolution.

Filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, the final night of the Eras Tour is presented in full cinematic glory. What makes it extra special? For the first time, the film includes the entire live performance of The Tortured Poets Department—a segment that was only added mid-tour after the album’s release in 2024.

This visual experience, directed by Emmy-winning producer Glenn Weiss and brought to life by Taylor Swift Productions in partnership with Silent House Productions, captures the tour’s emotional crescendo and musical grandeur.

Whether you missed the tour or want to relive it from the best seat in the house—your couch—this is your chance.

    The Powerhouses Behind the Production

The creative dream teams behind both projects are as accomplished as the artist herself:

Their combined storytelling brings a sense of scale, intimacy, and emotional resonance to every frame—making this more than a viewing experience; it’s a cultural moment.

From folklore to stadium tours, from heartbreak anthems to genre-defying records, Taylor Swift continues to shape the music industry and modern pop culture.

With The End of an Era and The Final Show, she’s opening the vault once more—only this time, it’s not just songs. It’s vulnerability, vision, and the behind-the-scenes brilliance fans rarely get to witness.

So set your reminders, gather your Swiftie circle, and prepare your popcorn.

This December 12, Taylor Swift takes over Disney+—and history repeats itself.

Exclusive: Disney+ Press Conference for Their First Period Drama ‘The Murky Stream’

ClickTheCity was invited to attend (virtually) the press conference for Disney+’s new K-drama – their first period drama – ‘The Murky Stream.’ This exciting nine-episode series promises to be an action-packed story set around corruption in the Gyeonggang River, where all trade takes place. It follows the bandits who dominate the ports and illegally impose taxes that put pressure on the merchant class. The drama revolves around a laborer with a secret past (Si Yul, played by Rowoon), the young leader of a merchant guild (Choi Eun, played by Shin Ye-eun), and the newly appointed officer with a connection to Si Yul (Jung Chun played by Park Seo-ham).

Hosted by the go-to MC of these events, Park Gyurim, she leads the actors up onstage one by one for photos. In attendance were Rowoon, Shin Ye-eun, and Park Seo-ham, along with Park Ji-hwan (who plays the bandit leader Mu-deok), Choi Guy-hwa (who plays a corrupt police official), Kim Dong-woon (who plays a mysterious Jurchen warrior), and director Choo Chang-min.

Surprisingly, when posing solo, the three young leads looked a bit awkward as they pose in front of the photographers. But once Rowoon, Shin Ye-eun, and Park Seo-ham were called onstage together, they instantly loosened up and began to have fun. Their cute and playful side suddenly came out, laughing and teasing each other as they posed. They seemed far more at ease and in their element when they are in a group.

Right off the bat, host Park Gyurim remarks about the show’s particular focus. Unlike other period K-dramas, ‘The Murky Stream’ tells a very different kind of story from what we are used to seeing.

Director Choo Chang-min at the Press Conference of Disney+ The Murky Stream

Director Choo: “The period piece is usually about the kings and the royal family. What drew me to this script was this was a story about the “low lives.” These groups are essentially bandits. That really drew me in.”

With such a story, it required a certain transformation for its lead star, Rowoon, who is more known for his charm in such roles like ‘The King’s Affection, ‘Tomorrow,’ ‘Extraordinary You,’ and ‘She Would Never Know.’ But here, we see a completely different Rowoon. On the previews and on the trailer, he’s dirty and grimy. He’s always covered in dirt and sweat, and his countenance is marked by facial hair, which may be make-up.

Rowoon at the Press Conference of Disney+ The Murky Stream
Photo courtesy of Disney+ | The Murky Stream Press Conference

Rowoon: “Director Choo told me that he wanted to take away my “coolness” or my stylishness, which he said was one of my weapons.” Now that he didn’t have that in his arsenal, Rowoon said he had “to bring in something new to the role” that he had never done before.

    Disney+ The Murky Stream

Park Ji-hwan: “We were playing bandits so we were dirty, and I could just lie on the floor and it would be okay.” He also remarked that he and Rowoon avoided taking baths, “I wouldn’t even wash up,” he said but laughed and said “Rowoon always smelled good.”

Affectionately, Rowoon quickly responded, “You were smelling my soul.”

Shin Ye-eun at the Press Conference of Disney+ The Murky Stream
Photo courtesy of Disney+ | The Murky Stream Press Conference

This was further expounded by Shin Ye-eun who said: “We were under the sun and Rowoon was sweating all the time and he wouldn’t take a fan in-between take. He was so sweaty, but he wanted to keep it. It made it look and feel real.” But Rowoon was quick to point out that his role was that of a bandit, so he had “very little clothing on” but added that Shin Yeeun was playing a merchant and was “dressed in layers and layers of clothes but you’d never see it bring her down.”

This sense of camaraderie was ob full display onstage. The three young actors kept exchanging compliments and were very grateful for the senior cast members for all their generosity and support. Director Choo Chang-min shared that it was important for him to work with a younger generation of actors and “match them with veteran actors” to create a synergy on set. The approach clearly worked for him as he later remarked that “It was a fun set to work in. Everyone was having a good time. People were joking and just enjoying themselves.”

    The Murky Stream

For the show, the grand scale of Choo Chang-min’s vision meant having to build the set on an exterior location. “98% of our shoot was on location,” Rowoon explained. “We had no interior shots (soundstage), and it helped us really immerse in the world,” he added. Choo shares that he “tried to shoot in a soundstage with CGI but we decided to find a location and capture it using minimal CGI and I’m very happy about that decision.” Along with the production design, the action choreography is immense so much so that Rowoon almost threw up while working on a fight sequence because he was working so hard. Seo-han shared that he had to “train in swordsmanship, archery and horseback riding,” which audiences will get to see by Episode 2. Rowoon continues saying, “Our action scenes are very raw and very athletic. We made sure that each character has a go-to weapon during fights, and it would be nice to see the audience try to figure out what the go-to weapons of each character are.”

With its grand visuals, complex characters, and a story set against backdrop of Gyeonggang River, The Murky Stream marks a new chapter for Disney+. Don’t miss the next episode to see where the river leads.

  • Disney+ Streaming Review: ‘The Murky Stream’ Starts Strong With a Transformed Rowoon Heading This Incredible Ensemble

Disney+ Streaming Review: ‘The Murky Stream’ Starts Strong With a Transformed Rowoon Heading This Incredible Ensemble

The first three episodes of Disney+’s new K-drama ‘The Murky Stream’ have dropped, introducing a dark, gritty world of the underworld surrounding the ports of Korea’s past. A period drama in the time of Joseon, ‘The Murky Stream’ stays away from the stories of kings and nobles, as most period K-dramas tend to do. Instead, the focus is on the merchant class and the bandits and how criminality and corruption festers at the underbelly, far away from the king’s gaze. Director Choo Chang-min, best known for his work on film, brings his cinematic style to this nine-episode drama and tries to keep it thrilling at every turn.

The story revolves around Jang Si Yul (played by Rowoon). Si Yul is a laborer in the docks, treated poorly by the bandits who charge exorbitant prices to carry goods in and out of the boats that belong to the merchant class.

    The Murky Stream Chart Disney
    Source: Disney+ PH FB

The head bandit in Si Yul’s district, Park Mu-deok (played brilliantly by Park Ji-hwan), is now just a shadow of his former self. It is implied he was one of the first bandits in the area but now he’s old and a coward and the younger bandit leaders bully him and make fun of him. His contemporary, Deok-Gae (Choi Young-Woo), now oversees all the bandits in the area, and their relationship is an interesting one. In the first two episodes, Si Yul suffers every hardship imaginable until he finally snaps and faces off with Choi Eun (the formidable Shin Ye-eun), the daughter of a prominent merchant family who is taking leadership of the merchant’s guild, whom he believes has avoided payment for his labor.

Within the first three episodes, we see Si Yul challenge the status quo and finds himself at the crosshairs of Mu-deok, who plans to use him and his strength and fighting skills to regain his past glory as frightening bandit. Along the way, the show also portrays the depths of the corruptions of these faraway towns as the police inspector Lee Dol-Gae (Choi Gwi-hwa) is set up to the main antagonist of the show. By the second episode, we see a young new officer, Jung Chun (Park Seo-ham), who is disgusted by all the corruption surrounding the police bureau and who has a connection with Si-Yul.

The way the show shifts and turns are promising a complex story about the fate of the towns surrounding the Gyeonggang River that questions whether righteousness can survive in such a place.

Director Choo Chang-min at the Press Conference of Disney+ The Murky Stream
Photo courtesy of Disney+ | The Murky Stream Press Conference | Director Choo Chang-min

Director Choo Chang-min ensures that the action sequences are hard-hitting and brutal, while the world he builds is gritty and grounded. The bandits, especially Mu-deok and Si Yul are always grimy and dirty, a stark contrast with how clean and put-together Choi Eun and Jung Chun are. The show presents all the characters are leads and it feels like an ensemble piece, though we know Rowoon’s Si Yul is at the center of it. No character feels underutilized in the first three episodes.

Rowoon at the Press Conference of Disney+ The Murky Stream

And what a transformation for Rowoon! Gone is his charm, as Si Yul is unlike any character he has played before. He barely speaks and has to project his inner world through his eyes, which are almost always glaring. It’s amazing how the star of such popular K-dramas like ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘The King’s Affection’ could play someone so broken down and undignified.

Shin Ye-eun at the Press Conference of Disney+ The Murky Stream
Photo courtesy of Disney+ | The Murky Stream Press Conference

Shin Ye-eun continues to show off her talents as Choi Eun. As the merchant’s daughter, she is capable and fearless but also way in over her head. She was amazing in ‘Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born,’ practically stealing the show from the amazing Kim Taeri and in ‘The Murky Stream,’ she doesn’t disappoint.

The Murky Steam 탁류 박서함 2
Photo courtesy of Disney+ | The Murky Stream Press Conference

This marks Park Seo-ham’s first mainstream role after gaining popularity from his previous role in the hit BL series ‘Semantic Error.’ His face gives away all of Jung Chun’s shock and disappointment and his expressive eyes help us understand his character’s motivations and agenda, as he has yet to show his full backstory.

    Disney+ The Murky Stream
Photo courtesy of Disney+ | The Murky Stream Press Conference

But the most striking of all performances is Park Ji-hwan’s Mu-deok. Park Ji-hwan’s filmography is extensive, and I’ve seen him in ‘Gyeongseong Creature,’ ‘Our Blues,’ and most recently in ‘Seoul Busters,’ where his comedic timing is off the charts. But here, as Mu-deok, he is both frightening as he is pathetic. He’s a completely different person altogether and he’s primal and really all strung out. It’s an incredible performance as he does not play for sympathy. He’s the one to watch in this show.

As Disney+’s first period K-drama, they are really hitting hard. The show looks expensive, and the scenes are grand. The story is complex and the dynamics of the characters within the first three episodes promise to be very intriguing. Whether the show can wrap things up within nine episodes is suspicious. The set up is big. The story seems grander than what nine episodes can hold.

  • Disney+ Streaming Review — There’s Great Promise and Potential from ‘Ironheart’ but They Don’t Have Enough Episodes to Fully Realise It

Disney+ Streaming Review — There’s Great Promise and Potential from ‘Ironheart’ but They Don’t Have Enough Episodes to Fully Realise It

Debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in ‘Wakanda Forever,’ Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart, was portrayed as a genius on par with Tony Stark, but without any of his privilege. After the events of that film, her streaming series follows the aftermath of her involvement with major MCU characters. She trained and learned under Shuri in Wakanda and earned a scholarship to study at MIT. However, her determination to build an iron suit to protect the people she loves, drawn from a trauma involving her best friend and her father, mirrors the same determination Tony Stark had during ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ and we know how that turned out. Her recklessness and unorthodox, even illegal, methods of funding her research lead to her expulsion from MIT, forcing her to return to Chicago and start over.

The premise is incredible. The MCU has introduced so many people who had strong support system from the get-go. Tony Stark had generational wealth. Black Panther, both T’Challa and Shuri, had the kingdom of Wakanda and all its resources at their disposal. Doctor Strange had access to the vast libraries of Kamar-Taj. Even Steve Rogers had the backing of the U.S. government, while Sam Wilson had the support of Stark Industries at one point. It’s refreshing to see a character who is just as brilliant as these characters but has to hustle and even do less than savory things just to be able to do some good.

    Disney Ironheart 3

It’s a metaphor for how marginalized sectors of America are sometimes forced to go against their nature in order to rise through the ranks and do what they believe is right. It’s an irony, but also a symptom of the systems in place that forces the underprivileged, especially people of color, most notably Black communities, to struggle against seemingly unbeatable odds.

    Disney Ironheart 1
Riri Williams/Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) in Marvel Television’s IRONHEART, exclusively on Disney+. Photo courtesy of Marvel. © 2025 MARVEL. All Rights Reserved.

This makes Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) an interesting character to watch. She’s tough and unapologetic. She’s isolated, even from the people who love her, because she’s so used to fighting and is afraid to deal with loss again. While her end goal is that of the righteous and of the good, she’s willing to break the rules to achieve it. This is all punctuated by the fact that she’s still a teenager. Filled with emotions, she hasn’t yet learned to see the bigger picture. At some point in the show, she refuses to be called a hero. She’s selfish and self-possessed, another byproduct of her age, her environment, her history, and her intellect. And that’s exactly what makes her so compelling to watch.

    Disney Ironheart 2
Riri Williams/Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) in Marvel Television’s IRONHEART, exclusively on Disney+. Photo courtesy of Marvel. © 2025 MARVEL. All Rights Reserved.

And it’s because of this that the Disney+ series ‘Ironheart’ is so disappointing. A show like this – that talks about her past trauma, her struggles with securing funding and being taken seriously, and her constant battle against a system that keeps beating her down, deserves more than just six episodes. It needs more time to fully explore these themes and to fully develop her character.

    Disney Ironheart 6
Riri Williams/Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) in Marvel Television’s IRONHEART, exclusively on Disney+. Photo courtesy of Marvel. © 2025 MARVEL. All Rights Reserved.

At just six episodes, the show rushes through so many narrative beats that it feels incomplete and underdeveloped. ‘Ms. Marvel’ and ‘Hawkeye,’ two other MCU Disney+ shows, managed to keep their narratives cohesive by focusing on personal themes and staying squarely on character development. ‘Ironheart,’ on the other hand, punches big. But without the episodes to fully explore the underground tech world that Riri has to scour through to rebuild her armor or fully realise the fragile dynamic between her and her mother and the other characters in the show who she feels very strongly about, or the mystical nature of the villain and his own take of disrupting the system. It feels unfair for ‘Ironheart’ to not be given the space the story they chose to tell needs to be able to fully flesh out the whole narrative.

But there are a lot of good things in it. As Riri joins The Hood (Anthony Ramos) and his gang to afford rebuilding her suit, she engages in capers that target billionaires. There’s the element of the caper genre that plays nicely to this level of super heroics (though technically, she’s one of the bad guys). Her relationship with her mom (Anji White) could have potentially been a wonderful tender spot for the show if they really gave it more time to develop and grow as well as her relationship with her AI, NATALIE (Lyric Ross), who somehow managed to become the exact persona of her late best friend. And then there’s her engagement with a black-market hoarder of tech, Joe McGillicuddy (Alden Ehrenreich). Riri and Joe’s interactions are the most fully fleshed-out narrative in this show because they are an excellent counterpoint for each other but when Joe gets tangled up in all of Riri’s shenanigans and it affects him squarely, his own individual narrative arc feels rushed and underdeveloped, as well.

There’s a lot of action here, some really good story beats, and some excellent acting from Thorne, White, Ross, and Ehrenreich but the show really needed an extra four episodes or even six to fully embrace this world. Riri, for someone without any funds, seems to manage to quickly rebuild her suit time and time again when that was the central premise from the beginning. I liked ‘Ironheart’ for its promise and its potential, but I know that it could have been better.

Streaming Series Review — A Dynamic Duo: A Review of ‘Nine Puzzles,’ a New Crime K-Drama on Disney+

The buddy cop genre is not a new one but ‘Nine Puzzles’ turns the genre over its head when one of the buddies happens to be the prime suspect of a gruesome series of murders that points to a serial killer. Headlining Kim Da-mi and Son Suk-ku, this thrilling new show dropped its first 6 episodes last May 21 and will be dropping the next 3 episodes on May 28 and then the final 2 episodes on June 4. This fast-paced suspense thriller is unique in the way the character dynamics have been set up.

In the show, Kim Da-mi plays Yoon E-na, a high school student who was the first person to find her uncle’s murdered body. No witnesses, no evidence of a forced entry, Yoon E-na became the prime suspect but because there is no evidence or witnesses, E-na’s charges were dropped. The investigator, Kim Han-saem (Son Suk-ku) insists that she’s the culprit. 10 years later, E-na is now a criminal profiler and discovers a murder victim that is somehow connected to her uncle’s murder 10 years ago by a mysterious puzzle piece. While Kim Han-saem still insists she’s the killer, Yoon E-na takes on the case and sticks close to Kim Han-saem, the only person she trusts (even if the feeling isn’t mutual).

Traumatized by finding her dead uncle’s body and questioning her own innocence, Yoon E-na goes to therapy while putting on a child-like exterior that is misread by everyone around her. She’s focused only on her work and in getting what she wants and she’s getting on everyone’s nerves. The person she annoys the most is Kim Han-saem, whose only unsolved case is that of her uncle. He goes along because he feels that he will catch her red-handed but as victims start to pile up, the serial killings are leading up to a bigger story.

Director Yoon Jong-bin does an amazing job at creating the mood and really pushing this world into the genre. The world is dark and gritty. There’s no one to trust and every episode has a new discovery that keeps the audience guessing at every turn. It’s fast-paced, not giving in to unnecessary plot points so that the investigation is always at the forefront, but writer Lee Eun-mi manages to find spaces in the investigation to really play with the characters of Yoon E-na and Kim Han-saem. Their banter is funny but lays the groundwork for the friendship that starts to blossom between the two. Kim Han-saem is not entirely sure of her innocence but he becomes a believer of her profiling skills.

And this where the show finds moments of brilliance. Director Yoon Jong-bin recreates every murder from the perspective of E-na or Han-saem, who is trying to deduce how the murder happens. The world turns black and either of the cops becomes the culprit for the reenactment to show how they are understanding the killer. It’s probably been done before but it works for this show. Also, Yoon is not afraid to pull back every now and then to let the show be funny.

Kim Da-mi is at her wheelhouse. I’ve seen her playing big characters before like ‘Itaewon Class’ and ‘Our Beloved Summer’ so playing E-na is a piece of cake for her. She imbues her with so much child-like exuberance but still manages to telegraph how emotionally vulnerable she is. It’s all a front and there are moments when the character thinks no one is watching that she can let her guard down just a bit. She really nails it in the last two episodes of the series. It’s something you really wait for.

On the other hand, Son Suk-ku turns this gruff, rough around the edge’s maverick investigator into someone familiar and endearing. He has a good heart that he’s trying to hide, and Son does a really good job at giving us glimpses of it without revealing it to the people around him in a scene. The dynamic he has with Kim makes the show work.

    DIsney Nine Puzzles 8 Large

Rounding up the cast is a strong ensemble including Kim Sung-kyun (‘Reply 1988’, ‘Moving’) and Hyun Bong-sik (‘Gangnam B-Side’, ‘Sweet Home’). But the other standout here is Yoon E-na’s therapist played by Park Gyu-young (‘Celebrity,’ ‘Sweet Home,’ “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’). She is trying to have a professional relationship with Yoon E-na as her therapist but E-na is constantly pushing against the boundaries. Park Gyu-young tries to maintain her stoicism in front of such a chaotic patient and how it shifts and turns as the story progresses is also something to watch out for.

‘Nine Puzzles’ is quite a fun ride with lots of twists and turns and a wonderful set of leads that gives us a partnership to root for. While the first two sets of episode drops are satisfying, the last two feels rush and could have used another episode to really flesh out that ending. One more episode to have managed the pace could have done the show a lot of good but as it is, it’s a winner for Disney+.
