What if meeting an angel meant opening the door to something much darker? The trailer for Bring Her Back has just dropped—and it’s every bit as haunting as you’d expect from Danny and Michael Philippou, the visionary directors behind the critically acclaimed Talk to Me.
A Sinister Ritual and a Family on the Brink
Bring Her Back follows a brother and sister—played by rising stars Billy Barratt and Sora Wong—as they arrive at the eerie, isolated home of their new foster mother. What begins as a hopeful new beginning spirals into terror when they uncover an ancient ritual and a malevolent force that claims to be something divine.
Also starring Jonah Wren Phillips and Oscar-nominee Sally Hawkins, this chilling tale promises raw emotion, atmospheric dread, and psychological twists that will haunt you long after the credits roll.

From A24 Darlings to Horror Heavyweights
Known for pushing the boundaries of supernatural horror, the Philippou brothers have made a name for themselves by exploring the emotional weight behind terror. Bring Her Back is no exception—delving into themes of grief, trauma, and the desperate desire to believe in something beyond death.
With their unique storytelling flair and signature visual style, the filmmakers aim to redefine possession horror once again.
This Holy Week, Capitol Commons offers a quiet space for reflection and renewal through “A Journey of Redemption: Stations of the Cross,” an immersive Lenten experience from April 12 to 19, 2025. Set across three Ortigas Estates—Capitol Commons Park, The Grounds at Ortigas East, and CV Strip—the event invites the public to pause and reconnect during one of the most solemn seasons in the Filipino religious calendar, especially among members of the Roman Catholic church.
Each location will feature a complete set of the Stations of the Cross, beginning with an introductory station followed by all fourteen traditional stations. Capitol Commons Park will feature eleven select stations that incorporate simple reflective or devotional activities, offering a space for quiet moments for prayer, contemplation, and meaningful pause during Lent. The Grounds at Ortigas East and CV Strip will present all stations in their traditional form, offering a more meditative and familiar pathway for prayer.
A Thoughtful and Grounded Experience
At Capitol Commons Park, visitors will find opportunities to engage in acts of quiet reflection. At one station, guests may write down personal burdens and tie them to a frame, a simple act of letting go. In another, they may hold or carry a life-sized cross and reflect on the weight of Christ’s sacrifice on the way to Calvary. A darkened room invites a moment of silence, allowing visitors to pause and contemplate in stillness.
The experience concludes with a prayer wall where participants may leave their intentions and are gently encouraged to take someone else’s request to heart. The initiative was aimed at offering the Ortigas Estate residents and habitués a pensive alternative to the usual activities — this time a space for the soul and spirit for meaningful reflection during Holy Week.
Open to All, Wherever You Are on the Journey
Running from April 12 to 19, 2025, “A Journey of Redemption” is free and open to the public. All venues will welcome visitors daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Whether you are observing Lent, taking a reflective break, or simply looking for a space to pause, this experience offers a meaningful way to spend time in stillness—alone or with loved ones.
This Holy Week, rediscover the Stations of the Cross in a way that invites calm, reflection, and quiet connection. Join us, experience the journey, reflect, and pray.

Easter Sunday activities
Marking the end of Lent and serving as a time of thanksgiving and celebration, BGC will also have several activities lined up for Easter, all taking place on April 20 – and everyone’s invited!
First off is the Easter Ocean Eggventure, where all can dive into a sea of excitement right at the Bonifacio High Street Amphitheater. This unique event invites families to join a number of engaging activities, all designed to celebrate Easter with joy and adventure. Amid colorful attractions and fun games, BGC will also be bringing in its main highlight, Trumpets: The Little Mermaid Show, a theatrical show promising to captivate audiences with its whimsical performances and characters.
The surprises don’t stop there as this event will also be home to loot bags filled with goodies and treats, allowing families to continue enjoying the festive spirit of Easter. Families can claim their goodie bags between April 19 and April 21 simply by shopping at their favorite Bonifacio High Street merchants.

Essential Tips for a Smooth Holy Week
Stay Connected On the Go: Bookmark this guide on your phone or screenshot key details for quick, mobile-friendly access wherever you are.
Double-Check Schedules: Mall hours can shift unexpectedly—visit official websites or check social media updates from your preferred malls for the most current and reliable information.
Seize the Pre-Holiday Sweet Spot: Make the most of April 14 to 16, when malls maintain regular hours, offering plenty of time to shop or prepare before holiday closures begin.
Explore Backup Plans: If malls close, standalone supermarkets, cozy cafes, or nearby restaurants might remain open—ideal for last-minute needs or a spontaneous bite.
It’s worth noting that hours can vary even within the same mall chain—for example, some Makati branches may stay open while others shut down—so always confirm with your specific destination. Planning ahead is the key to avoiding surprises and ensuring a stress-free Holy Week. With this guide in hand, you’re well-equipped to navigate the season seamlessly, blending observance with convenience. How will you make the most of it?
Beyond Malls: Additional Options
When shopping malls close their doors, alternatives step up. Convenience stores like 7-Eleven, Lawson, and Ministop typically operate 24/7, while standalone food chains—such as McDonald’s, Jollibee, or Shakey’s—often keep serving. Independent coffee shops, including select Starbucks locations, might also offer a refuge, though it’s wise to confirm with a quick check.
Holy Week is a time for reflection, yet it also invites thoughtful planning. Whether you’re stocking up at SM, Robinsons, or Ayala Malls, savoring Rockwell’s touch of luxury, or enjoying Vista’s neighborhood charm, Metro Manila’s malls adapt to the season’s rhythm. Align your visits with these schedules to merge practicality with purpose. Whether you’re running errands, enjoying some quiet time, or spending Easter Sunday with loved ones, knowing the right mall hours can make your Holy Week stress-free and smooth. Stay safe, plan ahead, and enjoy the long break—let this guide be your roadmap to a meaningful, well-prepared week ahead.
[Note: Holy Week 2025 mall hours can change without prior notice, so we recommend also visiting the malls’ respective Facebook pages for additional updates.]
Prepare to be enchanted as A24’s latest fantasy adventure, The Legend of Ochi, arrives in Philippine cinemas on April 25, 2025. Brought to you by Creazion Studios, this captivating tale promises to whisk audiences away to a world brimming with wonder and heartfelt storytelling.
A Tale of Friendship and Discovery
Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Carpathian Mountains, the film follows Yuri, a shy farm girl portrayed by Helena Zengel. Raised in a remote village where the elusive creatures known as Ochi are both feared and revered, Yuri’s life takes an unexpected turn when she stumbles upon a wounded baby Ochi. Determined to reunite the creature with its family, Yuri embarks on an adventure that will challenge her perceptions and courage.
In an era dominated by CGI, the film takes a refreshing approach by utilizing animatronic puppetry to bring the Ochi creatures to life. This commitment to practical effects lends authenticity and charm to the viewing experience, reminiscent of beloved ’80s classics like The NeverEnding Story and The Dark Crystal.
Critical Acclaim and Anticipation
Premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, The Legend of Ochi has garnered positive reviews for its imaginative storytelling and visual artistry. Critics have praised its ability to evoke a sense of wonder, making it a must-watch for audiences of all ages.
Save the Date

Dyson is launching a bespoke colourway across their beauty device range, inspired by the Jasper plum gemstone.
Dyson’s Colours, Materials and Finishes (CMF) engineers designed the Jasper plum colourway to capture the contrasting tones of the gemstone, resulting in a distinctive triple-toned palette: a deep plum main body, rich violet details, and bright blush pink accents.
Amelia Ayerst, CMF Design Manager at Dyson, explains, “The visual and tactile qualities of the products we use daily influence our experience. Our goal is to transform everyday items into something delightful to use and own.”
Purple jasper, known for promoting confidence, self-discovery, and personal growth, also reflects the essence of what Dyson engineers strive for in designing their styling tools — enhancing beauty from within, boosting confidence, expressing personal style, and maintaining healthy hair.
Dyson styling machines are engineered for fast, powerful, and efficient performance, acknowledging the challenge faced in finding time to prioritise self-care amidst busy lives. Your hair is more than just a style; it is an expression of who you are. Simple, mindful moments of self-care — like embracing a calm styling routine, walking with loved ones, or savouring your morning coffee — are small yet powerful ways to recharge and enhance well-being.
Launching ahead of Mother’s Day, we celebrate the strength, power, and individuality of the women in our lives — qualities symbolised by the rare purple jasper gemstone that the range is inspired by – the range could make the perfect gift. Dyson invites you to use the hashtag #SmallPowerfulMoment to share your self-care routine and celebrate the importance of taking time for yourself.

From the twisted minds of David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation) and Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle, The Nun) comes a terrifying new take on horror storytelling: Until Dawn. Based on the beloved PlayStation video game, this upcoming film takes a familiar yet fearsome concept—a group of teens trapped in a slasher scenario—and cranks it up to spine-chilling extremes through a deadly time loop.
Michael Cimino and Ella Rubin
“Every Night, a New Nightmare”
As an ode to the original game and the horror genre as a whole, Sandberg and Dauberman embraced the movie’s looping narrative as a chance to flex their creative muscles.
“Every night, the story resets, taking us into a new horror genre,” Sandberg elaborates. “As a lifelong horror fan, it was a dream come true to work in all these subgenres. Every night the characters undergo what feels like a new chapter in a different story.”
The film stars Ella Rubin as Clover, who, along with her friends, returns to a remote mountain site in search of her missing sister Melanie, played by Maia Mitchell. Their search spirals into blood-curdling chaos as they’re murdered one by one inside an eerie, abandoned visitor center—only to wake up and do it all over again.
“Let’s Just Kill Him.”
The freedom of the time loop gave the creators an opportunity to experiment. For Dauberman, the real thrill was in the chaos.
“Until Dawn let us have the fun of killing off our characters in wild, unpredictable ways,” he laughs. “It was both a challenge and tremendous fun because we had the freedom to say, ‘Yeah, f*** it, let’s just kill him.’”
That playful horror energy carries over into every frame, making each death unique—and each rebirth a countdown to terror.
Familiar, Yet Totally Unpredictable
Genre fans and gamers alike will love the film’s love-letter approach. With easter eggs scattered throughout, there’s plenty for loyal Until Dawn players to spot, while new viewers will still be gripped by the suspense and action.
“PlayStation Productions serves as a vessel for top creators to translate their passion for gaming into compelling narratives across various media. Being fans of the game themselves, David, Gary and their cast and crew have worked closely with our team at PlayStation Productions to make sure the film captured what fans love most about the Until Dawn world. And while you don’t need to have played the game to enjoy the movie’s twists and turns, there’s a good chance that fans will spot some cool references to the original story,” Qizibash says.
The Ultimate Horror Mashup
Caught in an endless cycle of terror, the only way out is to survive until dawn. But with each reset, the killer changes—and the clock is ticking.
It’s New Movie Wednesday! Whether you’re in the mood to be thrilled, chilled, or charmed, this week’s lineup of eight new movies—A Working Man, Bloat, Drop, Rule Breakers, The Amateur, The Demon Disorder, The Red Envelope, and Un-Ex You—is bringing all the feels and then some. Hitting theaters today, April 9, 2025, these releases are a cinematic jackpot—think Jason Statham kicking down doors in A Working Man, Rami Malek decoding danger in The Amateur, Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles sparking romance in Un-Ex You, and a ghostly groom shaking up The Red Envelope. From edge-of-your-seat action to goosebump-worthy horror and side-splitting flair, we’ve got the scoop on what’s fresh and where to catch the showtimes. So, rally your crew, grab some extra-buttered popcorn, and catch these must-see picks—your midweek just got a major upgrade!
Now, let’s take a sneak peek at what’s premiering this week:
Jason Statham is back doing what he does best—kicking down doors and taking names. In A Working Man, he’s Levon Cade, a former black ops soldier turned construction worker. When his boss’s daughter is snatched by human traffickers, Cade trades his hammer for a gun, uncovering a web of corruption that’s dirtier than a Manila back alley. With David Harbour and Michael Peña in tow, this action-crime-thriller is a high-octane ride. Think you can handle the heat?
Something evil lurks beneath the surface—literally. Something came back with him. After a chilling drowning accident, a boy begins acting… not quite himself. Possessed by a lake-dwelling demon, he unleashes pure terror on his own family. Bloat is not for the faint of heart. If you’re into chilling folklore and possession horror, this one’s ready to haunt you.
Drop turns a flirty night out into a nightmare. Meghann Fahy’s Violet, a widowed mom, meets charming Henry (Brandon Sklenar) for a date—until anonymous phone drops reveal a hooded figure threatening her son and sister. Her tormentor’s final order? Kill Henry. This mystery-thriller’s twists will glue you to your seat—what would you do?
Rule Breakers brings the feels and the fight. In a land where girls’ education is forbidden, a fearless woman (Nikohl Boosheri) teaches in secret, igniting hope and havoc. Ali Fazal and Sami Fekkak join her in this drama about courage under fire. It’s a story that resonates—could this be your next tearjerker?
Rami Malek swaps geek for grit in The Amateur. After a terrorist attack claims his wife, this shy CIA decoder ditches protocol to hunt the culprits, despite Laurence Fishburne and Michael Stuhlbarg’s warnings. It’s a sleek, smart thriller with a vengeance vibe. Ready to cheer for the quiet guy?
Dark secrets don’t stay buried. When three brothers reunite after their father’s death, a chilling family secret is unearthed—along with something far more sinister. The Demon Disorder taps into generational trauma with a supernatural twist that’ll linger long after the credits roll.

Action, comedy, and supernatural sparks fly in this Thai delight. Love knows no bounds—even death!
She wants a baby. He doesn’t remember her. Sounds like a plan, right? This new Viva rom-com has real-life couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles bringing chemistry, chaos, and kilig in Un-Ex You. Last 4 April, Wizards of the Coast launched Prerelease events for Tarkir: Dragonstorm, the latest set for the world-renowned trading card game, Magic: The Gathering (MTG). Return to the iconic plane of Tarkir, where wild dragons and fearsome clans clash in immense battles for power and survival. Tarkir: Dragonstorm will be released for tabletop on 11 April 2025.
A New Age of Tarkir
Tarkir is embroiled in massive and terrifying dragonstorms, raging across the land and spawning wild dragons, the likes of which Tarkir has never seen. New and powerful Spirit Dragons has been summoned from the storms, forcing out the previous dragonlords and emboldening the five clans into a battle for supremacy of the land. Now, amidst the draconic maelstrom, Narset and Elspeth seek to end both the dragonstorms spreading beyond the plane, whilst Sarkhan Vol stands in their way. Meanwhile, Jace seeks something deep in the Meditation Realm which may threaten the multiverse!
New Mechanics
Emblaze your decks with a flight of new Dragon cards and bring destruction from above with two brand new dragon-themed abilities:
Dragonstorms are enchantments with powerful enters abilities that you return to your hand for recasting when you play a Dragon.
Omen is a new card subtype that lets you choose whether to cast a small spell that then shuffles into your library, or a big Dragon. Talk about an imposing presence!
The five clans of Tarkir are back, each with their own vibrant culture and immersive gameplay. Find your clan and join the fight with a playstyle that fits you, including a new keyword for each clan:
Endure, the Abzan (White, Black, Green) keyword focuses on counters. When playing creatures with Endure players may add N +1/+1 counters or create N/N Spirit tokens.
Flurry, the Jeskai (Blue, Red, White) keyword allows for mini combo turns with multiple spells. Cards with Flurry trigger an additional effect when you cast your second spell each turn.
Renew, the Sultai (Black, Blue, Green) keyword allows players to exile cards from their graveyard as a sorcery for fun and profit. To Renew, spend some mana and exile the card for a powerful result.
Mobilize, the Mardu (Red, White, Black) keyword aims to boost a go-wide strategy for the turn. Creatures with Mobilize trigger when attacking and create more attackers with menace that are sacrificed at the beginning of the next end step.
Harmonize, the Temur (Green, Blue, Red) keyword is all about big creatures reducing costs. You may cast a card with Harmonize from your graveyard for its Harmonize cost and may tap an untapped creature you control to pay its power in generic mana.
Battle Alongside Your Clan
Each clan’s unique three colour gameplay and new abilities offer fresh strategies to wield as you fight for survival. Choose your clan and prepare for battle with five new Commander decks, each featuring a legendary clan leader of Tarkir and a Spirit Dragon.
