  • Multilingual pop darling Valentina Ploy is back with a heart-wrenching track “Camera Roll”

    A song for the heartbroken – Valentina sings about how the beautiful moments of a lost relationship are forever frozen in time in her “Camera Roll” contrary to the bleak reality.     In lieu of this release, Valentina shared her personal playlist in nursing a heartbreak and invited fans through social media to join her “Heartbreak Club”. A testament to how music has the power to make us feel, heal, and connect – the playlist now houses over hundreds of members, with each of them adding on tracks of their own that has helped or is helping them nurse their heartache. 

    Warner Music Asia announced on 21 April 2022 that it has formed a strategic alliance with Thailand’s premier independent record company What the Duck by signing Valentina Ploy, one of its most accomplished singer-songwriters.

Warner Music will be harnessing the support of Warner Music Thailand to strengthen her domestic fan base, and utilizing the Group’s regional network to introduce her work to music lovers throughout Asia and beyond.

  • Get up close and personal with Korean superstar Seo In Guk!

    There’s been a lot of buzz lately around singer and actor Seo In Guk, and we can see why. The South Korean superstar recently gave fans a treat with his newest album – LOVE&LOVE – his first solo release in five years!

    The first song on the single album is My Love, a heartfelt R&B track that features singer-songwriter and rapper Ravi. The song evokes feelings of longing and caring deeply for another person. In Guk shared that he made the song to deliver a message of cheering up someone who’s going through a tough time. “I felt that with track, I could deliver a small cheer up [even] in a sad way. [It’s my way of] trying to touch their hearts,” he said.

    If anything, In Guk has definitely touched the hearts of countless Filipino fans. This includes local actress and singer Kristel Fulgar. She recently got the opportunity to have a one-on-one interview with In Guk, and even got to converse with him in Korean!

    “I got to interview Seo In Guk, the person who got me into Korean culture and inspired me to learn hangul [the Korean alphabet]. This was an opportunity of a lifetime and I’m thankful to NYMA and Warner for this,” she said. Kristel even posted about the interview on social media. The interview was also recently launched on KrisTells Vlogs.

    Other fans who wanted to know their idol more also had the chance to ask questions through Warner Music Philippines. Here are some of them, along with In Guk’s answers: 

    Tere: How are you feeling now that you’re back as a singer with a physical album and also a new drama? I actually waited for your new song! We can’t wait to hear you sing it live in a fan meet. 

    In Guk: I’m so happy to have the album and the drama come out together, and I’m seeing a lot of positive feedback from the fans about the album and the drama so I feel like I’m flying in the sky right now. If I ever get the opportunity to do a fan meeting in the Philippines, I’ll definitely join. I can’t wait to meet all of you over there!

    Maiker: Congratulations on your successful comeback. How are you feeling these days? Do you feel like writing more songs for a full-length album? 

    In Guk: I can’t wait to get the opportunity to release a full album. I’ve produced a lot of tracks for it, but because of the timing and all the [different] situations, I’m trying to see the best timing [for its release]. And yes, I would love to have a full album out.

    Aili: Will you consider covering/singing a Tagalog song? And will there be a chance for you to have a fan meeting in the Philippines?

    In Guk: I would love to try to cover a Tagalog song. And yes, I will try my best to get the opportunity to do a fan meeting in the Philippines as well. 

    In Guk’s plans for the future

    If there’s one thing that In Guk clearly expressed, it’s how grateful he is for his fans. He even shared how he didn’t expect so many people to be waiting for his album release, and the realization makes him want to work harder. He also talked about not being able to choose between acting and singing, which means fans can expect him to be doing more of both!

    As for whether or not he’s looking to visit the country any time soon, he has a hopeful answer for all his Filipino fans. 

    “I would love to have a fan meeting with the Filipino fans. And also, personally, I would love to visit the Philippines and take a vacation over there,” he said.

  • Coke Fan Fusion: Coke Studio Philippines launches its 6th season

    Coke Studio Philippines is officially back with its 6th season! This year, Coke Studio gives a real magic experience through creative collisions of talented local artists and fans – 6 Artists and 6 co-created songs for a Fan Collaborated Coke Studio EP. From July 23 to August 30, Coke Studio will launch its weekly episodes featuring the 6 final songs co-created by the Artists and their fans.

    Led by 6 Coke Studio Artists (Shanti Dope, Arthur Nery, Adie, The Juans, BINI and KZ Tandingan) and powered by the fans, Coca-Cola Philippines created the Coke Fan Fusion challenge to invite Filipinos to remix their own beat, lyrics, music or version of the artists songs. Through social media, fans submitted their entries for a chance to co-create the final song with their favorite artists.

    Last June 24, 6 Coke Studio Artists invited their fans to join their Coke Fan Fusion challenges. With different themes and stories, they all left an open part for the fans to remix their own version. For Shanti Dope, he created a rap challenge with the story of Filipino youth in mind. The Juans’s theme is also about a Filipino trait “madiskarte”, they encouraged Juanistas to add their own lyrics and diskarte stories to inspire more people. Arthur Nery, on the other hand, invited his fans to create a love song with him.

    To uplift the P-pop culture, BINI invited BLOOMs to create a rap verse about body positivity or add their own dance challenge. Adie also invited his fans to create a song that expresses their feelings to their loved ones. Lastly, KZ Tandingan invited her fans to write a song about perseverance and sing “di na makikinig sa sabi-sabi” in different styles, dialect, or language.

    Fans, Social Media Influencers, and other artists such as Maris Racal, Sam Concepcion, Leanne and  Naara, JMKO, Kim Molina, Renee Dominique, Gab Pangilinan and more also joined the Coke Fan Fusion challenge. The chosen fans from all the entries will have a chance to produce the final Coke Studio song with their favorite artists.

  • Benny Blanco, BTS, & Snoop Dogg Collab Track ‘Bad Decisions’ Dropping this August

    The much-anticipated collaboration between the BTS, Snoop Dogg, and American producer Benny Blanco is finally happening!

    In a fun video shared by BTS on Twitter, Blanco jokingly asks BTS members Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and V if he can join the group. They decline, but agree to work with him in making the “best song in the entire world.” Watch the clip below:

    Hours later, Blanco officially announces their collab track, Bad Decisions, further revealing that it will also be the BTS and Snoop Dogg collaboration fans had been waiting for. The American producer also shared a calendar for the promotion of the track before it is released on Blanco’s YouTube channel this August 5, 12 PM (Philippine time).

  • Parokya Ni Edgar’s “Your Song” Surpasses 100 Million Streams On Spotify!

    It seems a lot of listeners find themselves coming back to Parokya Ni Edgar’s gem of a track “Your Song” because right now, it just surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify and still continues to rack up more streams.

    The song, which was off the band’s 2003 record Bigotilyo is PNE’s first song to ever hit the said Spotify milestone. Time and time again, the band has been very thankful for all the love this simple love song of theirs has been getting over the years. 

    What’s also surprising is the fact that “Your Song” was never released as an official single by the band during their Bigotilyo era. The song, clocking in at less than three minutes and was written and sung by guitarist Gab Chee Kee organically rose to popularity during the mid-2000s. Since the song gained massive mainstream popularity, Parokya Ni Edgar decided to include “Your Song” on their Inuman Sessions Vol. 2 setlist back in 2012. (WATCH HERE)

  • Westlife ‘The Wild Dreams Tour’ First Show Sold Out, Adds Second Show

    Fans are excited for WESTLIFE’s coming back and upcoming tour ‘The Wild Dreams Tour’ in Manila. Tickets to the February 20 show immediately sold out, as announced by concert promoter Wilbros Live. Due to public demand, the band will be adding another show on February 21, 2023 at the Araneta Coliseum.
