Rated E for Everybody
The countdown has officially begun for the return of one of comedy’s most iconic franchises. With only two weeks left before Scary Movie opens in Philippine cinemas on June 10, Paramount Pictures has released a new set of parody posters that tease the outrageous humor fans have come to expect from the series.

Known for poking fun at the biggest horror movies and pop culture moments of its time, Scary Movie is back with a fresh target list. This time, nothing is off-limits.
The Gang Reunites for More Chaos
Making their long-awaited return are franchise favorites Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall, affectionately known by fans as the Core Four. Their reunion marks a major moment for the series, bringing together the characters who helped turn Scary Movie into a global comedy phenomenon.

Joining them are familiar faces and newcomers, including Kenan Thompson, Damon Wayans Jr., Sydney Park, and more.
Packed with the franchise’s trademark mix of absurd comedy and sharp satire, the latest installment takes aim at everything from reboots and remakes to sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror films, and the seemingly endless wave of “final chapters” that rarely stay final.

No Horror Franchise Is Safe
For more than two decades, Scary Movie has built its reputation on turning popular horror films upside down. The upcoming film continues that tradition with a playful look at modern horror trends and cinematic universes.
Fans can expect plenty of callbacks, unexpected twists, and the over-the-top comedy that made the original films instant favorites.

As the newly released posters suggest, the filmmakers are casting a wide net. Every familiar horror trope is fair game, and every genre convention is ready to be hilariously dismantled.
Official Synopsis
Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (“Ghostface”), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.
Marlon Wayans (“Shorty”), Shawn Wayans (“Ray”), Anna Faris (“Cindy”), and Regina Hall (“Brenda”) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word “legacy” in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final.

Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.
