Just months after the original Winnie the Pooh and its accompanying characters were moved to the public domain, a movie announcement was made revealing that a slasher based on its characters is already in production.
Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey turns the iconic yellow bear and its pal, Piglet, into bloodthirsty murderers on a killing spree. The first trailer has been recently released, and it already gives us a first glance at the gore it has in store for slasher fans out there.

The film takes a group of teens to a twisted version of the 100 Acre Wood. What awaits them are two deranged creatures– Pooh and Piglet– who are out for blood after their best friend, Christopher Robin, abandoned them.
Written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield, the film stars Craig David Dowsett, Nikolai Leon, Amber Doig-Thorne, Danielle Scott, and Maria Taylor. The film’s release date has yet to be announced.
