Solo Leveling is set to be the next webtoon to have an anime adaptation, following titles like Tower of God, Gods of High School, and Noblesse. Solo Leveling‘s first trailer has confirmed the studio and staff that will be working on its anime adaptation.
A-1 Pictures, known for producing anime titles such as Sword Art: Online, 7 Deadly Sins, Fairy Tale, and more, will be the studio behind the upcoming series. Shunsuke Nakashige will serve as the director, Noboru Kimura is head writer, Hiroyuki Sawano will be providing the music, while Tomoko Sudo is on character design.

Based on the webcomic series of the same name by DUBU (REDICE Studio), Chugong, and h-goon, Solo Leveling is set in a world similar to a fantasy RPG game, filled with monster-infested dungeons. It follows the E-Rank hunter Sung Jin-Woo who almost met his demise inside a D-rank dungeon. But for some mysterious reason, he was able to survive the battle that swept his stronger allies. Not only that, Sung Jin-Woo also receives a mysterious power– the ability to see a quest log that would help him rise to the top ranks of hunting.
Solo Leveling is set for release sometime in 2023 via Crunchyroll and Aniplex.
