Small details matter: 3 Reasons why Solane LPG’s Bioseal is a cut above the rest
When it comes to buying household items, it’s easy to say, “Don’t sweat the small stuff” and just go for the popular choice. While it’s tempting to settle for specific kitchen equipment because ‘nakasanayan na,’ or because it does what we need it to do, there’s a reason why they say quality is all in the details.

On top of examining the credibility of the manufacturer, looking at the extra features of a product can tell you a lot about its overall quality and safety. This is most importantly true for kitchen equipment, which should not only be functional but also safe for you and your household.

Solane, one of the country’s trusted LPG brands, introduced the Bioseal as part of its efforts to ensure that every component of its LPG product is reusable, recyclable, or compostable. The Bioseal might look simple, but here is how it stands out:
- It’s eco-friendly
The plastic used in the Bioseal only takes 5 to 10 years to decompose compared to the 500 to 1000 years normal plastic takes. This innovation allows the seal to be segregated along with other biodegradable waste to be used as compost later after it decomposes. Alternatively, the new seal can be recycled together with ordinary plastic waste.
- It ensures your LPG tanks are leak-proof
The Bioseal has a new locking mechanism, making it more effective at protecting LPG cylinders from potential leaks and being tampered with. The Bioseal doesn’t compromise on its quality — it’s as strong and has the same shelf life as Solane LPG’s old seal while being lighter and biodegradable.
- It guarantees the authenticity of your LPG
Pioneered and introduced by Solane LPG, the Bioseal is designed to provide users with an extra layer of peace of mind. Only genuine Solane tanks have the Bioseal, which contains a QR code, a unique seal number, and laser markings to identify that the LPG tank came from a legitimate Solane LPG distributor or retailer.
Solane LPG’s Bioseal is not only a step towards protecting the environment but is also a conscious choice to prioritize your safety. The Bioseal may only be a small part, but combined with the intensive quality and safety control that comes with every Solane LPG tank, it ensures that your kitchen fuel will not end up as a threat to you, your loved ones, and your hard-earned property.

Trusted companies like Solane LPG go the extra mile to do their share in reducing their carbon footprint while ensuring that you and your family are safe through unmatched innovation and technical expertise.

Verified Solane LPG products are guaranteed to have gone through all the proper safety checks to ensure the safety of your household. All genuine Solane LPG tanks come with the new Bioseal, so make sure the tank comes with the right seal and markings to ensure that you are paying for safe and quality LPG products.

4 Practical Self-Care Activities Your Future Self Will Thank You For

When you hear the word ‘self-care,’ do you automatically think of going on a shopping spree, slathering skincare products on, lighting scented candles, or going on a spontaneous getaway? For busy millennials striving to keep their expenses within their budget, these forms of self-care might seem a little too self-indulgent and costly.

But real self-care goes beyond pampering your physical self. Have you ever noticed how you felt good after changing your sheets? Or how you felt like you can conquer anything the moment you finish organizing your desk? These are also forms of self-care.

Practical self-care is essentially doing tasks to make life less stressful in the future. While they don’t sound as fancy as other self-care activities you might have heard of, practical self-care activities will help give you a sense of control over your life and save your future self from being frazzled.

Here are simple and practical self-care practices you may not have thought of that can make a big impact on your everyday routine:

Organizing your email and files

Studies show that cluttered spaces are associated with higher levels of cortisol, the body’s main stress hormone. As our space now extends to the digital realm, this also holds true for our devices and digital storage.

Set a time to organize your folders, delete duplicate files, and set a labeling system. This will not only speed up your device and free up storage but will also improve concentration and boost productivity. Your future self will thank you that they will not have to go through heaps of files that look alike!

Doing a closet inventory

Have you ever found yourself saying “I have nothing to wear” while staring at a full closet? Doing a closet inventory might be the perfect self-care routine for you.

Taking some time to organize your closet and plan your outfits ahead will save you the stress and frustration of having to rummage through piles of clothes and shoes. Going through all your clothes and assessing which ones to keep will also help you save space and money. When you know which ones still fit, you’re less likely to impulsively buy another one.

Meal planning and prepping

For those who have a lot on their plate, even just thinking about what to eat is an overwhelming chore. Meal planning and meal prepping both remove the stress of having to come up with dishes every day.

Setting aside time to plan your meal ahead allows you to make healthier food choices and stay within budget. Preparing a batch of meals ahead of schedule will also save you the trouble of having to make last-minute food decisions and cleaning up plates and pans every mealtime.

Investing in high-quality kitchen equipment

You cook and eat best when you feel good in the kitchen. That does not only stop at whipping up delicious meals, but also ensuring that your kitchen equipment is working well.

Set a time for preventive maintenance of your kitchen equipment, from your knives and pans to your refrigerator and stove. This will help you identify which minor issues can still be fixed so you don’t have to worry about major repairs later. More importantly, doing an integrity check to make sure your tools and appliances are in good shape will help prevent injuries.

If you are unsure about doing checks yourself, you can ask for professional help. To ensure the safety of your LPG stove, trusted LPG brand Solane conducts the 7-point Safety Check, an exclusive service provided to all Solane LPG home delivery customers nationwide. Friendly Solane Hatid-Bahay riders will make sure LPG is correctly installed and make sure that your burner produces a blue flame to maintain the quality of your gas appliance.

Like these practical safe-care activities, having peace of mind comes from the confidence that your environment will not cause you additional stress. Investing in kitchen equipment guaranteed to last as intended means less stressful situations for your future self.

When you invest in a long-lasting kitchen fuel like Solane LPG, your future self will thank you for not having to go on an unexpected search for refill. More importantly, you can be at ease knowing that a genuine and trusted LPG brand will not cause you harm.

Verified Solane LPG products are guaranteed to have gone through proper safety checks to ensure the safety of your household. Solane LPG also has a safety feature called ‘Auto Shutoff’ valve, ensuring that your kitchen is still safe from leaks even during times when you forget to close the valve.

Solane offers safe and quality Solane Sakto LPG for budget-conscious consumers

Solane has been a trusted companion of Filipino households when it comes to cooking for over 50 years, may it be simple #LutongSolane meals at home or grand and festive celebrations and get-togethers. This Christmas, Solane wants to make sure that more Filipinos enjoy their meals and celebrations without breaking the bank, even if they want to enjoy festive meals outside the house.

Chef Marky unveils the content of the mystery box he received from Solane

Solane is unveiling Solane Sakto, its mini-LPG tank holding 1.4 kilograms of kitchen fuel, perfect for budget-conscious households, students, small families, and small businesses. For the more adventurous types, Solane Sakto is also a great addition to cooking equipment to bring – no more canned food for camping!

It’s the same safe, sustainable, and quality kitchen fuel Filipinos have known, but in a sakto size!

“We have long cultivated Filipinos’ passion for cooking and celebration by providing safe and quality kitchen fuel over the decades through Solane LPG,” said Jose Antonio Gonzalez, CEO of Isla LPG, the company behind Solane. “Through the ‘tingi’ version of our trusted Solane LPG, we want more Filipinos to have access to affordable and quality kitchen fuel without compromising safety.”

To show how Solane Sakto is the perfect companion for celebrating food outside the house, Solane hosted the ‘Saktong Salu-salo with Solane’ event. Guests were treated to mouthwatering dishes while enjoying an energetic chitchat with cooking enthusiast and proud long-time Solane user Suzi Entrata-Abrera.

Guests took turns guessing the weight of Solane Sakto’s LPG content.

Chef Mark Joseph Bartolome, known as Chef Marky on Tiktok, demonstrated how to cook simple yet filling chicken fajitas, showing how the Solane Sakto is easy to install on existing LPG or canister-fed cooking stoves.

Guests also sampled best-selling dishes from some of the trendiest small businesses in the metro: Kahatea, Airballs 320, and Hungry Homies.

Solane Marketing Manager Kathy Mendez Cabisada and Solane Product Manager Gilbert Roque join Suzi and Chef Marky in exploring the new Solane Sakto LPG

Swak Benefits in a Sakto Size

Solane Sakto’s saktong laki and saktong gaan makes it perfect for limited spaces and kitchens, such as condominium units, student dormitories and compact apartments.

Designed with a collar handle for better grip, Solane Sakto is also portable enough to take anywhere, and can be used outdoors, perfect for out-of-town vacations, picnics, and camping.

Priced at PHP 150 per refill, Solane Sakto is affordable and is a safer alternative than charcoal fuel wood and other dangerous fuel sources such as LPG-refilled butane canisters. It is the only small LPG SKU that is safe and compliant with the Department of Energy for indoor use.

One Solane Sakto tank can last up to a week of cooking for the typical family of five. During unforeseen situations or emergencies, it can be used as a backup LPG tank, lasting up to 3-4 days for heavy cooking.

Like Solane 11 kilogram AS and POL tanks, authentic Solane Sakto cylinders also carry the important markings that certify their registration, the specific standards used, the date the cylinder was tested, as well as the tare weight in kilograms which is around 4.1 kg. Genuine Solane Sakto LPG tanks also come with a white biodegradable seal.

This TikTok chef got a ‘Mystery Box’ and netizens have the most creative guesses

Christmas came early for one of Tiktok’s favorite chefs.

Chef Marky, a popular food content creator, recently posted a video of him receiving an intriguing package from Solane. Instead of revealing what’s inside, however, he left netizens in suspense as to what the mystery gift could be.

Since Chef Marky decided to cook his very easy but tasty #LutongSolane pork and beans instead, Pinoys ended up just throwing out their own guesses.

Here are a few of the wittiest comments:

All sorts of kitchenware

Some premium Solane cookware would go great with a Solane tank in the kitchen.

Solane Merchandise

Is it just a gift for Chef Marky or could Solane be expanding their product line?

Gripo Stock Dispenser

If Chef Marky got this, it would make it even easier for him to use his ever so popular “Gripo” Stock in his dishes.

Small Solane Tank

Could it be a small LPG tank that would let Chef Marky shoot his cooking videos wherever he wanted to?

It looks like people have come up with all sorts of guesses on the item that Chef Marky got, but we just have to be a little bit more patient to find out what it is. Since the package came from Solane, one of the most trusted LPG brands in the country, you would think he got a #SolaneLPG tank, but the box looks too small and seems too light for that to be the case.

Do you have your own theories? Let us know in the comments! To order Verified Solane LPG, customers may call the Hatid Bahay Hotline – (02) 8887-5555, send a message to 0918-887-5555 (Smart) / 0917 8977555 (Globe) or the Solane Facebook page, or place their orders through the Solane app. Customers may also place an order through the Web Ordering Platform.

Save for the Rainy Days: Realistic Steps to Start on Your Emergency Funds

Life is indeed full of surprises, and this includes unexpected expenses – from the sudden ticket selling of your fave musician to fixing your vehicle and taking your pet to the vet.

Having a ‘rainy-day’ fund, which is money specifically saved for unplanned expenses, gives you a safety net so unplanned expenses won’t disrupt your budget or force you into debt.

The ideal rainy-day or emergency fund is usually at least three months’ worth of your expenses. This may seem like a lot of money, but here are small and practical ways to get started:

· Track your expenses

A key step towards having your finances sorted out is keeping track of your spending so you would know how much you can save and where to cut down. Don’t be intimidated by keeping a record; figure out what works for you whether it’s a spreadsheet, a free expense tracking app or even your trusty planner.

· Begin with a small goal or regular contribution

Three times the usual monthly budgetmay be an overwhelming amount for some. Start with a smaller goal like PHP 50 a week toward your rainy-day fund so you can manage your cash and prevent you from giving up altogether.

· Automate your payments and transfers

If you have an ATM or a payroll account, set up an auto-debit feature that automatically transfers a certain amount from your paycheck to a savings account, with the option of choosing how much and how often. You could also set up the same for your bills and recurring payment, so you could avoid overdue payment penalties.

· Invest in your household items

Choosing the cheaper option might be tempting, but some household items are worth investing in when you’re sure about the quality. Good appliances and kitchen equipment may have a higher one-off cost but won’t break down or even cause household accidents that will surely wipe out your savings. Quality products mean you don’t need to shell out money for repairs, replacements, or refills.

During times when household fires caused by LPG leakages are becoming more common, being sure about the quality of your kitchen fuel makes all the difference. Substandard and fake LPG cylinders may only be short-lived and lead to more refills. They also run the risk of causing explosions and fires, which is a threat not only to your property but to you and your loved ones.

Make sure your LPG tank delivers value for money by lasting as long as it should. Having a safe and trusted kitchen fuel like Solane LPG guarantees you having the exact amount of content as promised, as only verified Solane LPGs go through the Timbang Challenge. Solane’s 7-point Safety Check, an exclusive service provided to all Solane LPG home delivery customers nationwide, also ensures that your burner produces a blue flame to maintain the quality of your gas appliance.

To order Verified Solane LPG, customers may call the Hatid Bahay Hotline – (632) 8887-5555, send a message to 0918-887-5555 (Smart) / 0917 8977555 (Globe) or the Solane Facebook page, or place their orders through the Solane app. Customers may also place an order through the Web Ordering Platform.
