Robinsons Movieworld Presents “All You Need Is Kill” — A Striking Tribute to Female Strength This Women’s Month

This Women’s Month, Robinsons Movieworld raises the bar with an exclusive big-screen event that blends explosive science fiction with a deeply empowering narrative. All You Need Is Kill storms into cinemas as more than just an action spectacle—it arrives as a bold statement on resilience, leadership, and the enduring power of determination.

Thrilling yet thoughtful, intense yet inspiring, this is a cinematic experience that commands attention.

A Fearless Heroine at the Center of the Storm

Adapted from Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s acclaimed 2004 novel, All You Need Is Kill follows Rita Vrataski, an elite soldier renowned for her discipline, razor-sharp strategy, and unwavering courage. Trapped in a relentless time loop amid a brutal interstellar war, Rita must relive the same battle repeatedly—each time learning, evolving, and sharpening her edge.

With every reset, she becomes more formidable. More focused. More unstoppable.

In a genre often driven by spectacle alone, Rita’s character adds emotional weight and complexity. She doesn’t merely survive the battlefield—she masters it. Her authority is earned through grit and intelligence, redefining what strength looks like on screen.

A Powerful Reflection of Women’s Month

Beyond its pulse-pounding sequences and high-stakes combat, the film resonates on a deeper level. At its core lies a universal truth: growth is forged through adversity. Failure is not the end—it is preparation for triumph.

    How fitting for Women’s Month.

All You Need Is Kill mirrors the spirit of breaking cycles, challenging limitations, and reshaping one’s destiny. Rita’s journey becomes a compelling metaphor for empowerment—proof that conviction and resilience can rewrite even the harshest realities.

As global storytelling continues to evolve, the film stands as a testament to multidimensional female representation: complex, commanding, and central to the mission.

Produced by Warner Bros. Japan and animated by the visionary Studio 4°C, the film marks the feature directorial debut of Kenichiro Akimoto. The result is a visually arresting and emotionally charged sci-fi action feature that seamlessly balances spectacle with substance.

Every frame pulses with urgency. Every scene reinforces the cost—and reward—of perseverance.

  • “Coraline” Returns in Stunning Remastered 3D Edition Exclusively at Robinsons Movieworld

“Coraline” Returns in Stunning Remastered 3D Edition Exclusively at Robinsons Movieworld

Get ready to step back into a world of wonder and suspense as the timeless stop-motion masterpiece Coraline returns to the big screen! Exclusively available at Robinsons Movieworld from September 18 to 30, the 2009 classic has been remastered in 3D, giving fans an immersive cinematic experience like never before.

A Journey Through the Fantastical World of Coraline

Originally released in 2009 and directed by Henry Selick, Coraline is based on the novella by Neil Gaiman and continues to captivate audiences with its dark, imaginative storytelling. The film follows Coraline, a young girl voiced by Dakota Fanning, who uncovers a secret door in her new home that leads to an alternate reality—a place that at first seems like a dream come true but quickly transforms into a nightmarish trap.

Facing dangers from this “other” world, including her sinister button-eyed alternate parents, Coraline must summon all her courage and wit to save her family and escape back to reality. Themes of self-discovery, family, and the temptation of escapism resonate deeply throughout the story, making it a fan favorite for both children and adults.

    1 3

From Gaiman’s Novella to a Cinematic Triumph

Coraline was Laika’s first feature film, produced under the guidance of founders Phil Knight, his son Travis Knight, and Will Vinton. Despite skepticism about the success of stop-motion animation in an industry dominated by CGI, Coraline broke the mold, becoming a critical and financial hit. Directed and adapted by Henry Selick, the visionary behind The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach, Coraline brought an unparalleled artistic style to the screen.

The film’s visual aesthetic owes much to Japanese illustrator Tadahiro Uesugi, whose concept art shaped the whimsical yet eerie world Coraline inhabits. Complementing this was the haunting score by Bruno Coulais, which used unconventional sounds to heighten the movie’s tension and fantasy.

Featuring a stellar cast that includes Teri Hatcher, Jennifer Saunders, Keith David, and Ian McShane, Coraline became a beloved classic that grossed $16.85 million in its opening weekend. Fast forward to its 2023 re-release, and the magic lives on—its global box office earnings now surpass $29 million, reaffirming its status as a cinematic gem.

    Celebrating Coraline’s 15th Anniversary in 3D

In honor of the film’s 15th anniversary, Laika has unveiled a remastered 3D version of Coraline, giving a new generation of moviegoers and longtime fans the chance to experience the movie in an even more immersive way. Released in partnership with Trafalgar Releasing, the 3D version first debuted in the U.S. in August 2023, grossing $12.5 million in just four days. Now, it’s time for the Philippines to enjoy this visual treat, exclusively at Robinsons Movieworld!
