Lenovo™ at MWC 2025: Expanding the Boundaries of AI-Powered Creativity, Productivity, and Innovation
Today at MWC 2025, Lenovo announced new Yoga and IdeaPad AI laptops, alongside software and innovative new proofs of concept visuals and accessories that leverage the power of AI to supercharge creativity and productivity for consumers. With a greater selection of Copilot+¹ AI PCs offering AI-enabled experiences like Windows Studio Effects, new NVIDIA GPU options for heavy-duty processing tasks, and new Lenovo Aura Edition laptops imagined with Intel that streamline the PC experience, Lenovo’s new Yoga and IdeaPad laptops make creating, completing tasks, and enjoying content seamless, simple, and fun. Lenovo’s new AI laptops, software, and concepts unveiling at MWC continue to expand on the company’s wide AI portfolio, embodying its promise to deliver Smarter Technology for All – combining cutting-edge innovation, user-centric versatility, and exceptional value to meet the needs of more consumers.

“As we push the limits of AI innovation higher than ever, it is important to remember that delivering access to AI for all is equally a core tenet of Lenovo’s philosophy. Likewise, as we endeavor to redefine the boundaries of power in technology, we must ensure that it continues to be a positive force,” said Jun Ouyang, Lenovo’s Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Consumer Segment, Intelligent Devices Group. “With the announcement of innovations like the Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition, the IdeaPad Slim 3x, and the Lenovo Yoga Solar PC Concept, Lenovo has delivered a suite of new devices and proofs of concept that empower end users to let their creativity shine, their ‘process’ unbounded by the processing of their PC thanks to AI-powered innovation.”

Yoga Solar PC Concept (POC)—A PC Powered by the Sun

The Yoga Solar PC proof of concept is designed for those who turn any space—indoors or outdoors—into a productive workspace. The device aims to bridge the gap between functionality and environmental awareness and represents Lenovo’s vision of achieving a future where renewable energy and innovation are intrinsically intertwined. The device represents a step towards this goal by featuring a solar panel with an over 24% conversion rate—one of the highest in the industry.

This conversion rate is achieved by leveraging ‘Back Contact Cell’ technology, which moves mounting brackets and gridlines to the back of the solar cells, maximizing the active absorption. The breakthrough Dynamic Solar Tracking system constantly measures the solar panel’s current and voltage, working with the Solar-First Energy system to automatically adjust the charger’s settings to prioritize sending the harvested energy to the system, helping to ensure maximum energy-savings and system stability regardless of light intensity. Even in low-light conditions, the panel can still generate power, sustaining battery charge when the PC is idle.

This innovation allows the solar panel to absorb and convert enough direct sunlight in 20 minutes to power up to one hour of video playback on the PC². And at 15mm thin and just 1.22kg, the thin and light Yoga Solar PC Concept is the world’s first ultraslim solar-powered PC³ and is an important step in realizing Lenovo’s aspiration to empower a future where creating on a PC can be done anywhere the light touches.
