Spider-Man Fever Sweeps the Internet
The web-slinger is back—and the internet can’t get enough.
Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially set a stunning new milestone after its first trailer racked up an astonishing 718.6 million views worldwide within just 24 hours, according to WaveMetrix. The overwhelming response from fans instantly made it the biggest trailer launch in history.
Even more impressive, the trailer reached 373 million views globally within the first eight hours, already surpassing the previous 24-hour record held by Deadpool & Wolverine, which generated 365 million views during its debut day.
Surpassing Major Entertainment Milestones
The remarkable achievement places Spider-Man: Brand New Day ahead of some of the biggest releases in entertainment.
Prior to this, the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer was considered the largest video debut ever, amassing 475 million views within 24 hours during its 2025 launch. The new Spider-Man trailer has now eclipsed that number by a wide margin.
For comparison, the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home—which later went on to earn $1.9 billion worldwide—generated 355.5 million views in its first 24 hours.
Clearly, excitement surrounding Spider-Man’s next chapter is reaching extraordinary levels.
