Cebu Pacific to Restore 100% of Pre-pandemic Domestic Capacity

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, expects to restore over 100% of its pre-pandemic domestic capacity in April 2022 after it ramped up its network with the easing of pandemic travel restrictions, marking a strong start for its 26^th year.

As the summer peak approaches, the airline has noted a 200% increase in its average daily flights for both domestic and international combined – from about 100 flights per day in 2020, to about 300 at present. Flights from Manila to key domestic destinations, such as Boracay and Cebu, have exceeded their 2019 flight frequencies.

The airline currently operates 96% of its pre-pandemic domestic capacity. The improvement has enabled CEB to carry more passengers and boost its cargo service which means faster and more efficient movement of goods across its widest domestic network.

CEB also celebrated another milestone today as it flew its 200 millionth passenger on board one of its 18x daily Manila-Cebu flights. This route was the first ever flown by CEB back in 1996.

‘Alice in Borderland’ to Resume its Death Games on Netflix This December

Alice in Borderland returns for a second season on Netflix this December!

Released back in December 2020, the live-action series about death games quickly garnered a following in Japan and around the world. The first season followed Arisu and his friends Chota and Karube, as they are suddenly transported to the mysterious Borderland, where inhabitants are forced to play deadly challenges to survive.

For the upcoming season, Arisu and his ally Usagi will play more violent games that will test their intelligence, strength, and teamwork, in the hopes of finding a way back to their original world. The 10 key characters who survived the last game of the first season have been confirmed to return. Watch the cast announcement below:

Gulay na Santol or Sinantolan as what locals call it is made with grated santol rinds, aromatics, siling haba, gata, and dinailan which is a kind of shrimp paste that has a powerful taste and smell. This goes well with anything grilled or your favorite Filipino soup like Bulalo and Sinigang.

Pinangat

Laing is a popular Bicolano side dish, but have you tried Pinangat? This one is a mix of taro leaves, river shrimps, and young coconut simmered in mildly spicy coconut milk wrapped in gabi leaves.

Binutong

If you’re a fan of anything kakanin, Binutong will be a new addition to your favorites. This Bicol delicacy is made with glutinous rice and coconut cream wrapped in banana leaves, and steamed to cook. It may sound simple but the sweet flavor and chewy texture is just delectable! Dust it off with some brown sugar and pair it with your favorite coffee.
