  • Safeguard Empowers Hand Hygiene Through Hygiene Kit Donations As COVID-19 Cases Surge

    As the country faces a surge in COVID-19 cases, Procter & Gamble’s Safeguard ramps up hand hygiene support through donations to several government agencies and other organizations to extend help to sectors in need.     Since the start of the pandemic, Safeguard has partnered with organizations such as the Department of Health, Department of Education, and Philippine Red Cross to ensure that help is being extended to sectors in need. Personal protective equipment (PPE), face masks, ventilators, and hygiene care packs have been distributed to front liners, hospitals, isolation facilities, vaccine hubs, and communities in most need. Safeguard also partnered with MWF in constructing hand hygiene facilities in order to ensure that clean running water are accessible to more Filipinos. This partnership also allowed Safeguard to donate hand hygiene kits to schools in the provinces that were given a greenlight to conduct pilot face-to-face classes.

  • GUIDE: Where to Book and Get Your COVID-19 Booster Shots in Metro Manila

    We’re almost two years in the pandemic and while most of us have already been vaccinated, the DOH recommends to get a COVID-19 booster shot especially if it’s already been 3 months since you’ve been fully vaccinated. With the looming threat of the Omicron variant that’s highly transmissible, getting an extra layer of protection is the best thing we can do to protect ourselves and our loved ones (and even strangers!). Most LGUs in Metro Manila have rolled out booster shots for its residents, however, if you could no longer wait for your turn, here are other options where you can get your booster shots in Metro Manila:

    Makati City LGU

    Makati and non-Makati residents can walk-in at any of Makati’s booster vaccination sites. Those who are interested should register to covid19vaccine.safemakati.com and choose Non-Makati LGU Vaccinated Individuals if not a Makati resident. Fill up the form on the website or at the vaccination center.

    Booster shots are now available for A1 to A5 priority groups who have are fully vaccinated for at least three months. There is a booster shot drive thru for motorcycle and bicycle riders in Kartilya ng Katipunan (1,000 pax daily), for PUV drivers in Bagong Ospital ng Maynila, and for four-wheel vehicles in Quirino Grandstand (available 24/7).
