City of Dreams Manila’s signature restaurant for Cantonese cuisine and regional Chinese specialties continues to highlight its five-course season set menu available for lunch and dinner until January 1, 2025. Perfect for holiday indulgence, Crystal Dragon’s set menu consists of: Deep-fried Fluffy Abalone with marinated seaweed and micro herbs; Rich Lobster Bisque with poached Hokkaido scallop and crab meat; Wok-fried Wagyu Beef with Chinese yam in black bean sauce, crispy dough stick and king mushroom; Creamy Braised Green Lobster with shimeji mushroom, and crispy dragon beard vermicelli; and Baked Alaska Flambé. New Year’s Eve Countdown with a Festive Menu at The Café
Hyatt Regency Manila’s interactive show-kitchen restaurant brings the season’s flavors through curated holiday buffet spread of local and international cuisine available for lunch and dinner on December 31. Lunch service (P2,499 net) highlights include Roast Beef on the carving station; Masala-rubbed Roasted Trevally, which comes with condiment choices including garlic sauce, spicy yogurt, and mint sauce at the Indian corner; Thai-style Whole Fried Chicken; selection of tempura; assortment of meats and vegetables at the live teppanyaki station; and assorted skewers of meat and vegetables from the grill section.

We trained for six weeks, transforming my body to fit the role, then on top of that, learn how to fight — not only the action, but the physicality of how the character moved.”On how he felt about casting Bill Skarsgård, director Moritz Mohr tells GamesRadar, “Skarsgård is super expressive with his face, that alone is one big selling point for Boy and he’s a very physical actor but no action movies come to mind. On that first call with him, he was amazing and I was like, ‘So yeah, we got the acting part covered, of course, you would knock it out of the park and I know that, but are you up for doing action?’ and he’s like, ‘Absolutely. With the theme “From Zero to Hero,” the series has inspired thousands across Asia to step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves to set new personal bests. Held at the scenic Filinvest Events Grounds in Alabang, the event drew an impressive number of more than 7,000 runners, from beginners to seasoned athletes, uniting them in a celebration of health, fitness, and their love for running.

The journey to the Garmin Run Asia Series began months earlier through a 10-week running training program in September offered by the Garmin Run Club. Participants had the opportunity to train with the best running coaches in the industry, including Coach Miguel Aldeguer of EZRC, Coach Patrick Rubin of Run With Pat, Coach Nylah Bautista of NewBound Triathlon Coaching, and Coach Ken Mendola of WeKenRun at various locations in the metro as they built their endurance for the coming race.

The Garmin Run in Manila featured three race distances—5KM, 10KM, and 21KM—allowing participants of all skill levels to challenge themselves and achieve new personal bests. This event marked the debut of the Garmin Run Asia Series in the Philippines, a regional initiative spanning key countries in Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore.
The top 3 male and female runners were awarded for each running distance, whether 5KM, 10KM or 21KM. While they went head-to-head for the best places, there were exciting prizes to be won, including brand new Garmin watches.
The winner of the first prize in the men’s 21KM category, Karlos Aquino, took first place with an official time of 01:13:20, followed by Edsel Moral with 01:14:15 and Mark Anthony Oximar with 01:16:39, who rounded out the top 3 on the podium. The best female runners in the same category were Jho-an Villarma (01:42:18), Cecille Wael (01:43:21) and Joy Tiu (01:47:21).

Calling all Ateneo de Davao alumni! The Ateneo de Davao holds the annual Grand Alumni Homecoming to reconnect, make new acquaintances and celebrate the Ignatian spirit in one special night.
The Jubilarian celebrants of AHS ‘99, along with the Golden celebrants of AHS ‘74, will be hosting this year-end event on December 30 at the SMX Convention Center with the theme Remember, Reconnect and Reignite the Future – 99Knights’ One Big Night.
Before this culmination, the host batches held several activities that answer to the call to be men and women for others. Batch representatives and volunteers participated in medical and surgical missions, nutrition drives and dispensed free legal advice to tribal communities in the Marilog district. Promoting the value of cura personalis, homegrown batch yoga gurus conducted yoga sessions.
As part of its fundraising initiatives and as a legacy project, the first ever Ateneo de Davao Golf Open was held at the South Pacific Golf Club.
